Wow, guess he’s not so anti-establishment after all.

“Principled Conservative” Ted Cruz is fine with subverting the will of the conservative GOP base at a contested convention? Pathetic. Anybody supporting this man is culpable too, IMO. No do-overs on this one. A time for choosing indeed.

Peel away the preacher act, look at the record and the campaign and Cruz has always been a stalking horse for the GOPe to shore up the religious right of the party. Nothing more and nothing less. Anybody hanging with Cruz at this point - sorry but it is my heart felt opinion - knows Cruz is not genuine.

It was blatantly obvious to me from the beginning since Cruz was never like any 'Spirit filled' person I knew. When Huckabee turned away from him, I figured that it would open the eyes of many... some yes, but not enough.

I wish Trump had a slightly finer edge... but well, if Patton had a finer edge he would have gone ashore commanding the landing at Normandy and we would not have lost all those men in the hedgerows.

Events are what they are. I never would have thought we had a chance to turn the country around after the second term of Obama. We do. He is 'Patrick Henry' Trump. Pull the lever for Trump in Ohio and Florida and get this thing over.

So, its not “establishment” to follow the rules that have been in place ?

Geeez! Doesn't any understand there is a DIFFERENCE between a CONTESTED convention, and BROKERED convention?

“Wow, guess he’s not so anti-establishment after all.”

Ted has sold his soul to the GOPe. Everyday that goes by he gets deeper in debt to the GOPe. Sorry thing to see.

Not one to pass up opportunity, his position on contested convention apparently is “evolving”

If no one has the votes, it will be a contested convention.

That isn’t debatable.

Cruz is disliked the senate for being a backstabber not because he was anti-establishment like being against unfair trade and open borders. They are angry at him for grandstanding gestures like closing the govt - that does nothing but get him good press on talk show radio. Why didn't Cruz shut the govt down on immigration amnesty?

Yeah, well, except that he QUALIFIED his statement saying he was OK with a contested convention IN THE EVENT THAT nobody had the nomination locked up by winning the required number of delegates.

About now you probably should be thinking, “Oh, so Cruz probably ISN’T cool with a contested convention if Trump comes in with the number of delegates needed to secure the nomination. Huh. Perhaps he’s not so ‘establishment’ after all, and maybe I should brush up on my reading comprehension.”

>b>If Trump, as the nominee, sits with the RNC and accepts nfrastructure, personnel and donations for the general election from them, and takes on GOPe seasoned DC advisors, ••in your estimate••, will Trump have remained pure, or will HE, TOO, HAVE SOLD OUT?

Ok if a candidate goes to the convention with not enough delegates. They just don’t give the nomination without a contested convention if both candidates are close in delegates..
