Attacks On Trump Didn't Slow Him Down In The Primaries. America's Another Story
By David Lauter Last night, after his triumphs in more GOP primaries, Donald Trump reveled in the ineffectiveness of the attacks against him.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had so many horrible, horrible things said about me in one week … but that’s OK,” Trump said in his news conference from his Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla. “I want to thank the special interests and the lobbyists, because they obviously did something to drive these numbers.”
There's no question that he's right about the primaries -- nothing anyone has thrown at Trump has shaken the support of his ardent backers, who make up about four-in-10 Republican voters.
But get outside the GOP primaries and the picture looks very different. Trump's image with the wider public is extremely negative and getting worse.
I want to thank the special interests and the lobbyists, because they obviously did something to drive these numbers.
The latest data comes from an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released today. It finds that just 25% of all voters have a positive opinion of Trump, while 64% see him negatively. His image was bad a month ago; it's worse now.

Phony poll, I have seen polls that showed his negatives in the mid 40% range. No one that unpopular would win primary after primary so dominantly. Just doesn’t happen. Use your head people! The establishment machine is out to deprive us of our choice for President. Do not let them get away with it!

Republican elites and neocon commentators have been bashing Trump (the frontrunner) for months and then they complain that he has too high negatives.
I have never seen anything like this. Trump never attacked or threatened these people and they smear him day after day.
Trump will reduce the negatives as he did state by state. People once they see Trump speak will vote for him.
Hillary will be zero motivating factor. No energy for the Dem voters - though they will put out ‘street money’ to try to get them to show up.
Trump will destroy her in the debates (if she’s not incited first) and win the general easily.
When leaders of BOTH parties are attacking you it’s hard.

I have the latest NBC/WSJ poll in my hands here, and let me tell you folks, it’s a doozy, and Trump’s days are surely numbered now.
Turns out, in a head-to-head matchup, Donald Trump would lose to Che Guevara by at least 30 points.
You heard it hear first, folks. Better get out there and vote against Trump. Our polls also show that ANYONE ELSE would beat Che by at least 40 points!
Fantasy by NBC/WSJ only rivaled by Tolkien. Remember. Trump is really Smaug the Dragon.
To show her appreciation,Hillary may make him an ambassador to some European capital. It’s the least she could do.
