China Spends Millions Searching for (Space) Aliens
by Brian Thomas, M.S. *
How much money should a nation spend on space-alien ventures? China is shelling out almost 200 million dollars on an enormous radio antenna built to listen for signs of far out intelligence.1 In the western hemisphere, the US invested millions of dollars in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) project but turned up no evidence whatsoever.2 The ever-growing number of barren and gaseous exoplanets discovered continues to elevate Earth's uniqueness.3 Apparently, China would love to be the first nation to make "first contact."
China recently made news for displacing over 9,000 villagers from areas surrounding their new alien-hunting antenna dish. The project called "Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope," or FAST, will have an array of tilting and tunable triangular plates along the world's largest parabolic dish of its kind. The device should dramatically increase the sensitivity of faint radio signal detection. "And, of course, it will advance the search for extraterrestrial signs of life." according to CNN.4 What underlying beliefs does this venture reveal?
The factual record looks quite bleak for alien-seekers. Its pages are blank...
But China's new and expensive FAST project, scheduled for completion in September 2016, appears to confirm what author Gary Bates wrote over a decade ago: "One may well ask then, 'How is it that so many are willing to spend so much on so little?' The answera belief in evolution!"8.....

I had to modify the ICR article title.
It was:
“China Spends Millions Searching for Aliens”
.... cuz if China was just looking for (earth) aliens, I can find plenty of them here in America.
Their search is over. We have plenty of aliens to send to them.
China just doing the usual: looking for some new technology they can steal and then manufacture for 10 cents on the dollar with their slave labor and currency manipulation,
“Where are they?” —Enrico Fermi
I would encourage China to scale their program up into the billions, then trillions, then....
[ The factual record looks quite bleak for alien-seekers. Its pages are blank... ]
Ehhhhh, the WOW signal, and the thousands of documented unexplained encounters with unusually flying phenomenon documented by almost every single government around the globe....
In terms of actual decipherable radio signals from space, yeah the record is pretty blank, but one thing we are learning is that as technology shifts fron analog to digital the signals use less power (less detectable) and since they are ones and zeros they look more like static (even less detectable) and can even be deliberately encoded to look like background radiation.....
If I was tech savy civilization and I detected other intelligent life out there, there is no way i would want to signal them until I knew for sure what their motives are.

To be really serious about the search you gotta build a dish in one of the larger crater in the far side of the moon.
We spend hundreds of millions on inner city bike paths and LGBT salamander research.
China making contact with aliens on behalf of all earthlings ... what could possibly go wrong?
Mika and Hillary think all cultures are equal - they'll come after you for speaking the truth...
It only makes sense. The American market is already saturated with rubber monkeys and kitchen appliances with shorts. They need to look to the stars to expand their customer base.
Looks like a po’-man’s Areceibo.
What will they do when they find them? Eat them?
I’d think intelligent life is out there, though that we are exceedingly unlikely to ever detect it.
What we might eventually see is evidence of photosynthesis in the atmospheres of some nearby “earthlike” planets.
But the detection of signals seems of very low probability, and becomes essentially zero outside of our galaxy.
I highly doubt this has to do with searching for aliens. Instead it likely has something to do with disabling military satellites, or eavesdropping.
