I remember that!
Also, I remember in the 1976 primary debates -Ford was boasting about football days and Reagan said “I played football too, but I wore a helmet”.

That’s a great response by Reagan. If Reagan had instead said he’d like to send the guy out on a stretcher or that someone should punch him in the face, it’d be a very different story.
