I was born in 1972. The 1980s was just a magical decade when he was POTUS.

My happiest days as an American were the days Reagan was elected and inaugurated. My daughter was born on his 72nd birthday. Years later, she named her baby daughter Reagan. He was something!

I found him seriously annoying. His soft, smooth way of talking aggravated me to no end.

Mr. Rogers (the PBS "Neighborhood" guy) annoyed me in the same manner.

I can read Reagan's quips and speeches just fine, but I could never listen to them.
