He’s winning because the PC police can’t shut him up. I’ve been waiting a long time for such a man.

God bless you for saying that.

There are tens of millions of people in America that feel the same way.

Recognizing that government should stay out is the conservative answer. Which is why Trump isn't following it.

"Conservatism" means nothing if America's economy must be sacrificed to attain it.

If that's the proposition, then there will be very few "Conservatives" in this country.

It's worth noting that this point about China's "manipulation" of Ford, GM and Chrysler shows up in a financial magazine -- but have any of those companies actually complained about it?

The hacks running those companies haven't.

Millions of Americans that have lost their financial security and livelihoods to Chinese slave labor have been complaining about it for decades.

Are you really serious about your statements on this thread?

Do you seriously not realize what has happened to American's economy for the past several decades?

Even more amazing is how conservative pundits, especially Mark Levin, have swallowed the line that crony capitalist, globalist rigged trade deals are part of the conservative holy writ. All dissenting conservatives are condemned to the political equivalent of hell by Levin and his crew.

It's not just them. Read some of the comments on this thread.

There are a lot of "Conservatives" that think there's nothing wrong with America losing all the time.

I’m not an expert on polling, but it seems common sense that the people being polled now are not a good indication of the mindset that will prevail once both parties have picked their nominees.

First of all, the overwhelming mass of American voters are not involved yet at any meaningful level. They are responding to the shallowest of impressions, the two candidates’ celebrity profiles. Although it may seem to us that it is all politics all the time, the vast majority are devoting an extremely small part of their brain to the election.

Second, it is too far away and the world is moving fast.

Third, debates between the two major candidates will tell the tale. That hasn’t happened yet. And as Trump has said, he hasn’t begun to fight that particular opponent.

Polls are always iffy, but these especially so.

You are smoking crack. Trump is competitive in all 50 states, meaning Hillary will be forced to campaign in states like NY and IL.

Otoh. Someone is saying the politically incorrect truth. China is a cheat and is eating our lunch. They are communists. They use threats. We knuckle under like slaves to the globe while pretending to be so generous and multicultural.

So what is the solution? Are they suggesting that President Trump should forbid U.S. auto companies from doing business in China? Close U.S. borders to Japanese cars? When Trump says that he will make Apple manufacture their phones in the U.S. then how will he do that?

Trump is getting shellacked in almost every single head to head poll against Hillary. His unfavorables dwarf even Hillary’s. The electoral battlefield is not going to be on the message boards of Free Republic. It is going to be in the environs of TMZ, Access Hollywood, the Universities, the View, the Evening News, Yahoo News, and Facebook. Hillary just needs to pull along a couple percent of voters to carry her across 50 percent.

In addition to that, top Democrat politicians are always thinking three or four steps ahead of Republicans. That is why Bill Clinton encouraged Donald Trump to run (if nothing else, Bill wanted to roil the Republican Party, I don’t think Bill thought his plan would succeed this well). Not to excuse Rubio’s stupid decision, but that is why Chuck Schumer persuaded Rubio to join the Gang of Eight (in addition to helping get the bill passed in the Senate, Schumer knew it would kill Rubio’s nomination chances). That is why Claire McCaskill funded Todd Akin in the Republican Primary - because she knew there was no way the GOPe would let Todd Akin win.

Oh, Trump is going to get crushed, and happily, the stupid GOPe is going to go down with him.

You do understand the difference between trade deals and tariffs on China, Japan, et. al, yes?

“You do understand the difference between trade deals and tariffs on China, Japan, et. al, yes?”

I have no clue why you address this question to me, but, yes, I do.
