Obviously Barack Obama has nominated an individual with the academic, professional, and intellectual chops which put him above criticism based on competence. We conservatives are thus reduced to objecting to the man because of his ideology which, experience shows, many a Rino Republican senators will not support. Obama is fully aware of our weakness.

It goes without saying the Democrats have no problems attacking Republican appointees who are conservative on any grounds, witness Judge Bork and Justice Thomas.

It is vital that no hearings be conducted or we will begin to see desertion in the ranks.

They were well respected until they chose not to move left. Sort of like Ann Coulter. She was one of the most admired women in the world around here until she started constantly expressing her undying love for Mitt Romney, then later for Chris Christie. At that point, she had clearly lost her mind and abandoned her conservative principles, and became a FR pariah. But now that she has moved on to her third northeastern liberal soul-mate to whom she can pledge her whole-hearted lifetime commitment, she is once again a voice of reason and logic. Who knows, the FR Coulter pic rules may start being enforced again soon.
