NEW YORK -- The Secret Service, FBI and New York Police Department are investigating what sources tell CBS News is a threatening piece of mail sent to Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump.
The mail, sent to Eric Trump at his posh Manhattan residence at 100 Central Park South, also known as Trump Parc East, was opened by his wife Thursday.
A source close to the investigation said the letter had a Massachusetts postmark and warned that if Donald Trump doesn't withdraw from the race for the Republican presidential nomination -- paraphrasing -- harm will come to the kids.

A source familiar with the matter said the envelope contained suspicious white powder that's been sent to a lab for testing. The source a preliminary field test indicated the substance didn't appear to be hazardous.
No injuries were reported.

If it was an offensive post, I doubt I would have replied to it.

Why is Cruz under any obligation to comment on every problem the Trump people have? The last time he did, his comments were misquoted and he was lambasted by a sh*tstorm of lies that hurt Cruz.
Frankly, I'd let the tough guy handle his own stuff and stay out of it. Cruz has other fish to fry.

That's funny. I mean real funny. How many times have we all heard people spew that Conservatives had to compromise their values and vote for the lesser evil rather than their preferred (but allegedly unelectable) candidate?
Some of us have been saying that the GOPe isn't going to throw things to the Dems if the candidate is more conservative--let them hold their noses and vote for the Conservative, instead of Conservatives holding their noses and voting for 'moderate' Republicans.
And, now that it is happening, people are holding it against the candidate.

I wouldn’t immediately guess that he lived in a Trump building on Central Park South. For all I know, he could have lived in a mansion in CT.
It doesn’t sound like it was a big secret that he lives at Trump Parc East.

I read something that insinuated Trump cowered when the guy came up behind him at the Rally.

Vote for who you want to based on your own values and expectations of your candidate. I greatly doubt that Trump ( jr. or sr. ) is looking for Cruz’s sympathy. Nor would Cruz look for theirs. Seems that these days on Freerepublic every slight and offense is somehow the fault of Ted Cruz.
