Rep. Jeb Hensarling has endorsed Republican presidential candidate and fellow Texan Ted Cruz in an effort to derail controversial businessman Donald Trump, the GOP front-runner.
“I believe that now is the time for Republicans and conservatives to unite behind the candidate who can not only win in November, but who will govern according to the principles we advocate and share,” Hensarling said in a statement Thursday.
“We are down to two candidates who can secure the Republican nomination — Donald Trump and Ted Cruz,” Hensarling said, dismissing the chances of Ohio Gov. John Kasich. “Based on Donald Trump’s track record, I have serious questions about his commitment to the conservative cause.”
Hensarling, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, was in the spotlight last year for leading the push to block reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank, which Cruz, the junior senator from Texas, also opposed.

Another completely meaningless endorsement. For an outsider, Ted seems to be racking up support from the “Washington Cartel”. Ted’s a complete fraud.
Which went forwards anyways proving the ineffectual nature of the GOPe & conservatives in both houses.

Damnit! There is no place for logic when bashing Cruz. Double-standards are encouraged.
Christie has taken lots of heat.
The cartel has three choices:
1. Serve Trump
2. Serve Cruz
3. Poison both.
Some rally to Cruz believing he may be the new standard bearer and are looking to get in on the ground floor. Same with Trump. They want in on the winner. It’s sucking up.
Some though are trying to poison both. Damn them with their praise.
The cartel has already chosen #3.
It is up to us to foil their plans.
In 25 years they have managed to put America on the ropes.
Time to fix America, and they are not the ones to do it.

With all due respect, Since GOPe is now supporting Cruz, this is not a big surprise...Are we to have sidebar every time a congressman endorses a candidate? So why is this posted in the Breaking News Sidebar??
