NASAs budget proposal is far more concerned with spending on global warming research than supporting the agencys mission of space exploration, according to Republican lawmakers.
This budget takes our human spaceflight program nowhere fast. This budget undermines our space program and diverts critical funding to lower priority items, Texas Republican Rep. Brian Babin, chairman of the House Subcommittee on Space, said during the hearing. Orion and [the Space Launch System] are strategic national assets and must be sufficiently funded. Proposed cuts to the planetary science division are equally disturbing.
Democratic lawmakers, however, argued spending more climate science to be a political imperative, and have repeatedly pushed for cuts to other NASA programs, like space exploration, so money could be redirected towards global warming.

Outreach to queers and mudslimes maybe
So they’ll just add money for exploration on top of the climate change crap. It is an election year, after all.
NASA is supposed to be doing “muslim outreach”
silly...
Congress is the Blame as they took impeachment off the table long long ago! F congress and the voters they rode in on!
Obama is a proto-typical communist - EVERYTHING must be in accord with the political objectives. Even science must have a political agenda.
Did we forget when The Zero espoused Islam’s contributions to space exploration?
I didn’t know NASA had global warming research in their budget. I thought their only priority was muslim outreach.
Isn’t Cruz on a space committee or something similar? What does he have to say about this?
Now NASA is a political shill for pseudo science. Not only have they surrendered any space flight technical edge we had on the world, but they have prostituted their mission into a comedy routine of declaring:
(you fill in the blank) was the hottest (month/day/year) ever recorded.
This happened all the way back in the 1980s during the REAGAN administration, by the way.
Hey, uh, Congress, make a better budget.
Not just NASA
Is there anything at all in the entire world that Obama has fiddled with that isn’t much worse off than B.O. (Before Obama)?
Obama is the anti-Midas.
Everything he touches turns to crap.
He even screws up things he is trying to screw up.
He is the most incompetent, bumbling meddler to ever soil the White House.
And it’s not as if he hasn’t had a lot of serious competition for that honor.
Now, if I am interviewing you and see NASA, you get escorted out of the building.
The strategy is to spend money on globull warming nonsense which diverts it away from national security projects. Soetoro's primary agenda is to keep America weak and vulnerable to foreign attacks. Think in the same terms about his desire to bring in thousands of military age male terrorists. He wants to duplicate the successful muslim invasion of Western Europe. This guy is a worse traitor than either Benedict Arnold or John Kerry.
Congress is responsible.
They approve Obama’s agenda via funding then complain that he’s breaking stuff.
Do your job and stop funding garbage.
See, rats have no visionary abilities they cant see any farther than thier hands in front of them
There may be real science going on outside the public domain where slimy politicians with their pseudo science and political correctness are not allowed in the room.
You can search with your favorite search engine for “Secret Space Program”—I think this stuff is real, but you can make up your own mind.
What we don't have is the ride to get our guys to orbit and back. We, the nation who went from Vanguard to Apollo inside of a decade haven't really done jack in 46 years.
Isn’t Ted Cruz on the Nasa oversight committee? I cheered when that was announced but haven’t heard much on the subject since then..
