Donald Trump reveals foreign policy team in meeting with The Washington Post
Washington Post ^ | 3-21-2016 | Philip Rucker and Robert Costa

Posted on 03/21/2016 10:23:33 AM PDT by dlt

Donald Trump revealed part of his foreign policy advisory team and outlined an unabashedly non-interventionist approach to world affairs during a wide-ranging meeting Monday with The Washington Post's editorial board.

The Republican presidential front-runner listed for the first time five of the individuals who are part of a team, chaired by Sen. Jeff Sessions (Ala.), counseling him on foreign affairs and helping to shape his policies.

Why would Trump want to validate the SOBs at the Compost by meeting with them? I would shun those SOBs.

I was fine when Trump said he consulted with himself on foreign policy.

Scripture says there is wisdom in many counselors. At the end of the day, I want Trump listening, but I want Trump deciding. I think a lot of the counselors get so wrapped up in minutia that they miss the forest for the trees.

Same reason he appears on ABC and CNN. Those networds and newspapers are read by independents and dems. Trump is appealing to those folks too, and is pulling them into his Big Tent.

Its a war tactic. You should reach The Art of War. You interface with the enemy and control the media reported not leave it to chance. The enemy will then , thinking there is a connection will become his useful tool. Its classic business stance. The person who always views the enemy at distance, never wins.

A wise man will hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel. (Proverbs 1:5)

• Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning. (Proverbs 9:9)

• The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)

• Where there is no guidance, the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory. (Proverbs 11:14)

• The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel. (Proverbs 12:15)

• Through presumption comes nothing but strife, but with those who receive counsel is wisdom. (Proverbs 13:10)

• He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. (Proverbs 13:20)

• Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed. (Proverbs 15:22)

Can you name the five, please. The article won't load for me. I hate to give the Washington Compost an advertising-friendly hit, anyway.

Another MSM house organ leaking details of it’s off-the-record meeting between Trump and it’s Editorial Board?

“Walid Phares, who you probably know. Ph.D., adviser to the House of Representatives. He’s a counter-terrorism expert,” Trump said. “Carter Page, Ph.D. George Papadopoulos. He’s an oil and energy consultant. Excellent guy. The honorable Joe Schmitz, [was] inspector general at the Department of Defense. General Keith Kellogg. And I have quite a few more. But that’s a group of some of the people that we are dealing with. We have many other people in different aspects of what we do. But that’s pretty representative group.”
