Donald Trump escalated his feud with Ted Cruz on Twitter Tuesday but this time he also involved the Texas senator's wife.
The real estate mogul tweeted that the Texas senator should "be careful" or he would "spill the beans on your wife" Heidi Cruz.
"Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!," he tweeted Tuesday evening, just minutes before polls closed in Arizona. Trump tweeted and deleted a similar version of the Tweet about 10 minutes earlier.
Trump appears to be referring to a Facebook advertisement targeted to Mormons that shows Trump's wife, Melania, posing nude. That ad was produced by an anti-Trump super PAC, Make America Awesome, which has no known connection to the Cruz campaign.
Cruz responded on Twitter by saying that the ad was not from him and if he went after his wife, then Trump is a "coward."
"Pic of your wife not from us. Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you're more of a coward than I thought. #classless," Cruz tweeted.
Heidi Cruz is a senior executive for Goldman Sachs, and took a leave from in order to help her husband's campaign. She has become one of the campaign's most accomplished fundraisers.

Much better than Cruz’s sad wife.
It is not against the law for Cruz to disavow the disgusting ad.
He has yet to do so.
Well... worse than most can imagine - why are you holding back? Tell us oh wise one?
Oh, you are just blowing smoke. Figures.
I assume "spill the beans" refers to Goldman Sachs.
It was a mistake to attack Melania. It will be carefully considered but Donald is most likely going to hit back. If Ted had made an apology for his supporters’ actions this would have been avoided, instead he made a disingenuous, sneaky lawyerly BS statement daring Trump to escalate the conflict.
It was totally from Cruz. ANYBODY believe his superpac decided to run an ad of his opponents wife like that, on election day, in a prudish state with a backwards cult in charge, and DIDN’T give Cruz a heads up?
As the brothers say,,,”bit@h please”.
I agree politics is dirty business and unfortunately spouses get dragged into it too. That said unless a candidate’s spouse did something bad in the public sector I think you gotta lay off attacking them period.
Cruz’ instincts seem way off of late...
I wonder what Cruz’s Canadian constitution says? “lie lie and act and lie again” ?
Dirty trickster Cruz sleeps with Team Romney
and Soros and Ayers.
Trump has been playing this game with media for 30 years,,Cruz is an amateur. If Trump says he has the goods he has them. He may be like Howard Hughes ..has dirt on alot of people
H->! has done some bad stuff, as has Slick.....
Lyin ted has repeatedly said he “overwhelmingly” won Iowa when in fact it was very close.
Trump is letting us know that soon will come the release of the Kraken.
Prozac Barbie?
And it was with Senator Cruz knowledge and approval. Am sick of having my intelligence insulted.
That’s pretty naive to think Ted Cruz and/or his campaign didn’t know that ad was coming, and would have been able to stop it had they chosen. Apparently, they chose to let it run.
“Never, ever threaten. Threatening gives them a heads up on what you have on them. Either do it or never speak of it. “
Unless your weapon is so solid it cannot be stopped, and you are building up the attention. We dropped leaflets on many cities before carpet bombing them. We also did it in Desert Storm.
“spill the beans”
He is probably referring to a breakdown Heide Cruz had a few years back.
I have a feeling the Cruz camp did this to try rope Trump into a response while moving a few more votes in super conservative Utah. He needs to get over 50% of the vote to get all the delegates.
Cruz didn’t disavow the ad and ask the PAC to pull it?
