Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) blamed “Donald Trump and his henchmen” for planting a National Enquirer story that accused him of extramarital affairs. Vehemently denying the story as “garbage” and “complete and utter lies,”
“It became clear as the campaign went on that Donald was a whole lot of sizzle without any substance,” said Cruz. “When he’s scared, when he’s losing, his first and natural resort is to go to sleaze and to go to slime.”
Friday on CNN, a Trump supporter, Boston Herald columnist and radio host Adriana Cohen accused a former Cruz staffer, Amanda Carpenter, of being one of the five women cited in the Enquirer story.
Carpenter vigorously denied the allegation: “What’s out there is tabloid trash. If someone wants to comment on it, they can talk to my lawyer. It is categorically false. You should be ashamed for spreading this kind of smut,” she said. “I will not be intimidated. I will continue to make my thoughts known about Donald Trump, and I’m not backing down.”
Katrina Pierson, a Trump spokeswoman who once worked for Cruz, also said the story is false.
"Speaking for myself, the article is trash and 100% false," Pierson said in an email to The Post.
Trump, in a statement, said he had no idea whether the Enquirer story is true or not, but he denied having anything to do with it.
Cruz blamed the story on Roger Stone, a longtime political adviser to Trump.
“It is a story that quoted one source on the record: Roger Stone, Donald Trump’s chief political adviser,” said Cruz.
“The CEO of the National Enquirer is an individual named David Pecker,” said Cruz. “Well, David is good friends with Donald Trump. In fact, the National Enquirer has endorsed Donald Trump, has said he must be president...

Denounce vs. renounce
In modern usage, to denounce is to openly condemn (someone) or to publicly proclaim someone to be wicked or criminal. Denunciations are usually quite serious. To renounce is to give up or reject something, especially formally. For example, a prince might renounce his claim to the throne in order to live a quiet, private life.

Sen.Cruz’s Canadian BC, and Eleanor Elizabeth Darragh’s Delaware State BC have both been online for months.
Doesn’t prove a thing except Teddy was born in Canada and his mama was born in Delaware.
Thanks! Yes - obvious now that you mention it. What isn’t obvious is WHICH citizenship she renounced (American or Canadian) or WHEN she did so.
She moved to Canada in 1967. At that time they had a five year waiting period for people residing in Canada to become citizens. Ted Cruz was born in 1970 - so there is no way that his mom was a Canadian citizen when he was born. Of course there are other aspects of it to debate about the NBC status of Ted Cruz.

Your guy Ted has flushed himself down his own commode. I'll bet he has plans to sneak out of his bedroom window late tonight after his wife falls asleep so he can be with one of his many nasties.
Mr Trump had no clue that the Enquirer was going to print the story about Cruz diddlin all those women. All the supporting evidence will begin flowing out over the course of the next few days. And btw, Cruz is going to have a dark cloud over his campaign now -all the way to the general in November. I imagine there are many telling him to withdraw because things look bleak and will continue to look bleak.
Since Ted is probably going to continue to slip under the covers with any woman at any given time, he needs to be wary of being infected with chlamydia trachomatis. Or herpes. Or worst of all, aids. What if Cruz does get an std. What is he going to do when he passes it to Heidi. :(
