An Unbelievable Amount of Counterfeit Goods Come from China
economyincrises ^ | 9/30/15 | Margaret Elkis

Nearly everything in a tech store has a label “Made in China” on it. In fact, it is almost difficult to find something that isn’t made in China. Not only has this flood of goods from China put our companies out of business, but they are hurting, even killing people. Counterfeit high end bikes, wheels, and helmets from China are putting people’s life in grave danger.

One thing is a fake Rolex watch or a knock of Louis Vuitton purse, but when we are talking about products that are carrying human life around, or products that are meant to protect vital parts in our bodies, is a different story. High-end bikes go for $6,000, however, bikes from China on Alibaba.com or Aliexpress.com are around $500. After further investigation, these bikes were found to completely fall apart.

According to a report by the UN Office on Drugs, 87 percent of counterfeits seized in the U.S. are from China. However, it isn’t just counterfeit goods that are hurting Americans, its goods in general from China.

The reality is that China has become the world’s workshop. All jobs, especially manufacturing jobs, are outsourced to China because of their low wages and almost non-existent labor regulations. Laminate flooring from China was found containing high levels of formaldehyde which is a human carcinogen and was mislabeled. Chinese drywall has caused major health problems and metal corrosion in American homes. An enormous amount of Chinese toys contained led paint which is extremely dangerous to children.

Not to mention the amount of food imports that have also sickened Americans all across the nation. Counterfeit goods, toxic products, and poisonous foods have crippled America. Our companies have been forced to close because it is simply impossible to compete with Chinese wages. In fact, the average wage in China is $0.75 cents an hour! Not only is their labor cheap, but they cut corners by using illegal chemicals in order to make their product even cheaper.

This has been occurring since 2001 when we gave China permanent trade relations and helped them get in the World Trade Organization (WTO). Since then, they have been treated with “Most Favored Nation” status giving them the freedom to freely import goods into America but restricting our imports into theirs.

Enough is enough. We need to re-evaluate our relationship with China. We need to go back to how it was before we gave them permanent trade relations. Something needs to be done and fast.

I’d say the biggest problems are medications, supplements, food products, and pet food.

There are apparently tons of different components of food and drugs that are made in China and then incorporated in “finished” products “mAde” in the USA....

I’d say the biggest problems are medications, supplements, food products, and pet food.

And substandard steel beams used in building and bridge construction.

About six or seven year ago guy named Paul Midlar wrote a book titled “Poorly Made In China”. Read that and I guarantee you will never buy house brands of personal hygiene products from stores like Dollar Store or WalMart or places like that ever again.

It’s not even funny. These crappy parts are in everything! Everything is breaking. People get hurt. So much downtime! This has been going on for a very long time. I saw a show on TV fifteen years ago that warned about chinese counterfeits. It used the Big Bertha golf club as an example. They brought two of them to the original manufacturer and one turned out to be a complete counterfeit. Today everything is made in China, but we don’t call it counterfeit anymore. It’s the new standard. We have been lowering our standards for 50yrs, and I don’t they can go much lower........

I have a Panasonic Micro wave oven that I had to return twice to Wally World until I got one that worked for more than 4 days. Turns out it says Made in Japan but the parts, like the klystron, are Chinese sourced. It’s an f up world. Go Trump, go!

Counterfeit goods come from China; well it’s good to see South Korea has lost their leadership in that field at least.

And in other breaking news, the sun rises in the east tomorrow morning...

The old adage, "you get what you pay for" may need an upgrade.

Ebay is saturated with fake Chinese junk.

A lot of it is being shipped directly from China.

You can buy something for $5 and get FREE shipping with end-to-end tracking. If you try to ship the other way, the cheapest you can ship something is about $12, with NO tracking. If you want tracking, it's up around $30.

Why is this? It is because the Chinese government gives their companies basically no-cost shipping.

Trump is absolutely right about the way China is ******* us over.

“formaldehyde which is a human carcinogen”

No, it is not. That is a lie fabricated by the EPA.
