Rick Sanchez: #CruzSexScandal takes off as senator fails to forcefully deny allegations (FoxLatino)
foxnews.com/latino ^ | Rick Sanchez

Let me begin with this. If the National Enquirer wrote a story about me cheating on my wife with five women, I had better be extremely definitive in my response; because if I’m not, my wife –smelling the guilt – would kick my ass. OK, let me also tell you that I wouldn’t be angry; in fact, I’d be ecstatic. It’s fun to count money from guaranteed punitive and compensatory damages in a multimillion dollar lawsuit.

But that’s me. I can’t speak for Senator Ted Cruz except to say that so far his reaction seems —well, not exactly definitive. He calls it “garbage and false,” not exactly a denial. Then he plays the victim, calling it an attack on his family; “offensive to Heidi and me, they’re offensive to our daughters,” he writes.

Actually, it’s not an offense aimed at your wife or your daughters; it’s aimed at you, Senator. Then, there’s the attack on Donald Trump.

Whether he is or not is not my point. I was simply illustrating how this game of "failing" to "forcefully" deny ridiculous allegations works.

I've got pretty good antennae for lie detection, but sometimes I am wrong of course.

I used it for years to great success in business (and certainly erred a few times).

What Cruz did here was "deflect" and point to Trump.

That's a red flag.

Is Cruz lying? I don't know, but there is that possibility.

I hope we find out before Cleveland.

I agree with you on that. It sure would have been nice for Trump/Cruz to join up and clean house. Together they could beat Hillary and the establishment. Unfortunately, I think that the divide is too much between them. But, I think it will get better after a clinch in the primary is made by either one of them.

Regardless of persuasion, I’m always deferential to people who act similarly.

Quote:

“We need to prepare for the general election. We need to FReep the dems hard right now.”

What “WE” need to do and what the GOPe and the “conservative” media want to do are two separate and distinct things.

And from the looks of it, “WE” don’t matter at all.

What Cruz did here was "deflect" and point to Trump.

Whether that's what he was doing or not, I'll say this: Have you seen ANY politician who does not deflect and redirect? They all do that. Including Trump.

Here's an example of Ducking Donald dodging and deflecting and pointing to Cruz, when Trump was asked repeatedly about his views on late-term abortion:

Trump freaks out when asked about abortion again

Does it shock you to know that Amanda Carpenter (One of the accused mistresses) tweeted that “Carson is “taking a break” after Iowa? This should be read as if he’s releasing his supporters, IMHO” 4:46PM Feb 1, 2016.

I’m totally with ya on that point. And I think most freepers are, as well.

But Senators, you know...they are sort of ...ummm...different.

This wasn't deflection on just any question or issue. This was about his having had 5 affairs.

If he wanted to end the issue, he should have looked the reporter in the eye (or the camera) and said, I NEVER have and NEVER would cheat on my wife. End of issue, end of story.

He's a Harvard trained lawyer...that is how he would have or should have advised any client to respond to such an allegation.

I’ve never had Cruz preach to me. You guys keep saying that but I think you’re making it up along with all the other stuff you make up.

Yes Trump history is mostly an open book. His history of supporting lliberal politicians and liberal agenda.

Too bad he doesn’t have a history of doing anything conservative.

I’ve never had Cruz preach to me.

His style of speaking is preachy. That's what folks mean when they say that.

He doesn't speak to people, he tells people.

That's one of the reasons he was so disliked at Princeton.

Is that before or after he pushes Universal healthcare, gay marriage, unions, gun control, and the host of other liberal causes he’s supported throughout his life?
