To be a president means regularly to find oneself caught off balance. Sometimes you want to chill at the same moment your enemies move to kill. You may find yourself doing an innocent photo op reading a book to little kids when terrorists launch a coordinated attack on the country.
So lets have a little sympathy for President Obama this week. It has to be frustrating when you set out to make nice with the leaders of a mass-murdering fanatical regime and at the exact same time a mass murder is carried out by a completely different group of fanatics the ones you keep saying are no big deal.
It has to get under your skin when you bring a planeload of fanboy hacks with you to a tropical paradise on the understanding that theyll write nice stories about your kicking back with one half of a pair of homicidal brothers when instead people get all distracted about the tiny detail of 31 people getting killed by a different pair of homicidal brothers.
The president whose acolytes call him No Drama Obama arent quite right, but they are on to something. The president does get angry, but not at terrorists, dictators or mass murderers. Every time rage sneaks into his face, hes talking about his domestic political opponents. Hes talking about budgetary disputes, federal appointments, Constitutional interpretation.
Blood literally running in the streets of Belgium? Heads being cut off by sabers? A movement that wants to kill every Jew and Christian? Shrug. Obama spoke about the ISIS mass murder briefly.
Then he did the wave with Raul Castro.

The media sure was one sided, as usual.
They hailed Obama as courageous, breaking down cold war barriers and all that, seeking to make nice with old enemies who are now wanting to be part of the world economy, etc. etc.
The media coverage was just propaganda.
Another article basically excusing and apologizing for Obama. How about, he loves sticking it in our eyes and proving that he can do virtually anything to the infidel West with impunity.
BHO would have to have, at least a modicum of leadership in order to have a measurement. Since BHO has no leadership ability, what he does cannot be labeled as “bad” leadership.
It isn’t just a week of bad “optics”.
The elder Bush got sick in Japan -- constant coverage; Gerald Ford's trick knee led to pratfall -- constant coverage...
Ted Cruz wishes he had such bad optics...
At this point, nobody. cares.
You might want to read the entire article. Rather than excusing and apologizing for Obama, it ridicules him.
It ridicules him under the assumption that he is clueless and bumbling; consider the alternative that he loves what he is doing and is mocking the West at every turn and doing all that he can to damage the West and make us the laughing stock.
The mooselimb is an asshat!
