Giving voice to the silent majority is one of the factors why Trump leads in the race. Some other factors will become clear if we look at some of his individual supporters. I know who they are because they aren’t afraid to open up to me. Trump supporters are, perhaps, the only group of voters in this nation's history who have been so viciously and consistently maligned, and in such a coordinated manner, by both political parties.
My wife is a Trump supporter with Cruz as her second choice. However, she does not regularly come to Free Republic so thus has retained her sanity and doesn’t think that Cruz supporters are RINOs and/or GOPe operatives.

They are still my best friends.
I have 2 Hillary supporting friends.
We never breach the subject.
Even those who come from afar tell us why Trump is gathering success, and you still have to scoff in question-begging negative terms.
Cruz supporters are RINOs and/or GOPe operative, CFR backers, vile hypocritical Christian hate mongers, Goldman Sachs operatives, closet Hillary Clinton supporters, Muzzie loving American Haters, repeat jaywalkers and they are KNOWN REMOVERS OF MATTRESS TAGS!!!!!

I just finished reading this article over at AT, which I’ve pretty much avoided recently because of their rabid anti-Trump stance.
I was going to post it myself, but I’m glad to see that you got here first.
It’s striking to me to see how this author, himself an immigrant from the former Soviet Union can see so clearly see why so many people are drawn to Trump and his message of restoring America to it’s former greatness.
Another writer from a formerly communist Romania, Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh who writes for Canada free Press also sees Trump in a similar, favorable light.
This article is well worth the read and I encourage anyone, Trump supporter or not to go read it. If nothing else, you’ll at least gain a better understanding of his appeal.
I too have Hillary and Bernie supporting friends.
I try to remember in any conflict, people are convinced that the “other guy is wrong”
I’ve been wrong before and will be wrong again someday.

The attacks on Cruz have been from bottom up from the Trump grassroots
The attacks on Trump have been top down from the party leaders down....
so to a Trump supporter...the Cruz supporter attacks ....look....(not saying they are)...to be inline with to GOPe and the stock "left on right" attack
