Few if any people know how to argue these days.

It is rare to find someone who understands points of stasis or burden of rejoinder or why I think they are an idiot when they attack the person instead of the argument. People (using that term lightly) who would be laughed out of a formal debate blogging and being taken seriously by anyone. I get why Mr. Trump speaks in soundbites, and he does it better than anyone, but still, it is sad.

Yes very sad. Government funded schools run to government controlled standard make a strong K-12 effort to stomp out any vestige of critical thinking that a child may have started with.

It's more a wonder when any victim graduate attendee of this system can think an independent thought, let alone rationally defend it.
