I heard it repeated on the radio this morning.  It was funny, but in a creepy sort of way considering the target of the joke is a Presidential candidate.

Imagine this: if Trump said the same joke about Cruz, the internet would explode and the media would be calling for Trump to get out of the race!

If you Google "Cruz murder", you see a couple news outlets questioning the joke, including New York Magazine, but I suspect very few of the major media outlets are questioning Cruz's comments.

You can be sure that Cruz and his team spent a long time crafting the joke with its double entendre.

The few times I have been to a Comedy Club, I've noticed that most of the comedians are not real comedians at all, but people who tell dirty jokes.  Fine.  To each his own, but what's so clever about that?

I think when you're on a national TV show, you certainly want to have a rehearsed joke or two to make the audience laugh.  But was this choice of a violent joke the right one?

A joke often reflects the character of the joker.

“A joke often reflects the character of the joker.”

Well said. And Ted should look at the won we have in the oo now. We’ve no need to replace the black jack with a new joker in the deck Not having heard the joke, not been given the opportunity to laugh or even smile - assuming it is understood. Some will attempt anything to Not Talk about the facts, nothing but the facts. Was Glenn Beck giving him lessons? :-))
