If abortion were made illegal, which I think it should be, then both the so called doctor providing the service AND the abortion seeker should be brought up on murder charges. This issue is and always has been about the victims of abortion, the unborn, not about some dumb trollop who’s knocked up and a so called “provider” that wants to make money off of abortion.
Trump lacks the knowledge to be an effective candidate. He just doesn’t have a grasp of the issues beyond a few catch phrases. As a result he flounders in interviews that are even slightly confrontational or probing.
And he’s not going to “catch up” in the months to come. Folks his age (he turns 70 in June) don’t just remake themselves. What you see and hear is what you get.
By that time he was cramming for his ECON 900 finals. Did well there.
Trump terrifies the people who deserve to be terrified.
boy when’s the last time you ever heard someone being called NOT conservative because they were TOO restrictive on abortions?
Since Saint Ted of Calgary
Trump particularly terrifies people who want the GOP to win in November.
There seem to be a lot of Freepers who espoused the position Trump stated, yet suddenly are on the politically correct bandwagon. It’s surprising.
No kidding. It’s clear that some so-called conservatives are willing to criticize Trump for being too anti abortion. What does that say about them?
If you want a polished orator who says the right things and who crushes it in legal arguments, vote for Cruz by all means. But all you're getting is a talking head.
I want a guy who says what he means and who isn't afraid to fight dirty against the people who are robbing Americans of their votes and their power. I want Trump.
To all of you Pollyanna staunch item-by-item conservatives: Enjoy your view of the dance from the wall.
boy whens the last time you ever heard someone being called NOT conservative because they were TOO restrictive on abortions?
It is amazing isn’t. Win at all costs Ted Cruz and deluded Cruzy followers have single handedly redefined “principled conservatism”.
#76 That would be 2 liter Pepsi and Doritos here. Thank you. :)
Mom, let the Dog out and Bring me lunch!
Jim, that was a no-doubter moonshot over the center field wall. Well-said!
see post 74 for the evidence and if you wish, The Works of Honorable Justice James Wilson can be read for free at books.google.com. I prefer hard print and thus have them on my bookshelf for easy reference.

Now that question is completely legitimate...from political position Trump should offer at the more moderate abortion position then Cruz
but from the who is the more conservative position Trump offered the more conservative answer so it’s laughable to hear these Cruz supporters now trying to say he’s not conservative because he’s harder line than Cruz on abortion
If you are against abortion but not for punishing anyone it neutralizes the issue.
I know this will be unpopular to hear - and I am pro life - but the Republican party is hamstrung by the pro lifers. Many women would vote conservative if not for the pro abortion stance. To many women keeping abortion legal is like the 2nd amend is important to conservatives.
see post 74 about the difference between murder and manslaughter according to the founding fathers... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3416163/posts?page=74#74
Sure: the position I have seen herd many times is that a woman is just as guilty as the doctor. Now do you mean names? No clue, it’s been over the years, but even if I knew I wouldn’t call them out. The point is, this is a common, though not universal position.
The question was NOT about abortion per se but about the equal application of law. Abortion was the vehicle for the question due to it’s hot button, emotional response value. Trump answered the hypothetical question correctly. Equal application of law and it’s consequences.
Jim, Trump got it exactly right according to the records of the founding fathers. See post 74... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3416163/posts?page=74#74
