True Conservatives never feel the need to defend someone who isn’t Conservative with “who cares that he isn’t” on this (Universal Health care), and that (Affirmative Action), and this (progressive taxes), and that (eminent domain), and this (expanding Medicare part D), and that (assault weapons ban).

That’s not at all what I saw..I saw Chrissy talking over him the whole time . Then Trump had him sputtering over his catholic religion and Chrissy had to say well . then start another comment. It was a slimy , crappy interview. It doesn’t take any brains or skill to shout someone down and tans wear their own question. I’m surprised Cruz is so anti-abortion given his proclivities. I’ve never met a satyr who wasn’t pro-abortion.
This is a constitutional issue, you know the document that is supposed to preserve and protect life... therefore, what has the non-punishment of homicide/manslaughter since the 1950’s have to do with preserving and protecting life?
Let’s face it, abortion is not going to become illegal , not anytime soon and I really don’t think it’s on the top of anyone’s list right now. I haven’t heard Ted say it was one of his priorities to get rid of abortions, please correct me if I am wrong but they would get booed off the stage. Abortion is a real touchy subject because it can piss off so many women. Sad to say after all these years it has become accepted and is here to stay. I just read today that the FDA has an abortion pill. And does anyone think the draft is going to comeback too and the longer Obamacare is around the harder it will be to get rid of it. How about legalized drugs? That’s why we gotta make sure a dem doesn’t win because in four more years we will not be able to get rid of it. Some people love making a sport over who said this or that but man we are a team and our enemy is out there called Hillary and we need to concentrate on that.

I don’t any longer.
Even back in the sixties when a lot of states didn’t allow abortions they only went after the doctor not the woman. That’s why most doctors would not do it as they didn’t want to face the very stiff penalties that were in place back then.
Cruz has revealed himself to have been adopted by the Bush folks.
