I am totally with Donald Trump. I am an avid states righter and I firmly believe that abortion and gay marriage are states rights issues. I am anti abortion and anti gay marriage but the Constitution does not address these issues so they are up to the states. Donald Trump is absolutely right about this.
I do too, and the states and courts are where the abortion issue is being thought.
But what do you think about the laws should stay as they are?
Freeze these issues in 2016?
I've voted for one democrat in my life for major office, Glen Poshard, because he was pro life and pro gun, and a tax and spend liberal. His opponent, George Ryan was "pro life" and "pro gun", with the caveat that the laws are the laws and should stay as they are. Stay as they are is not leadership, unless the leader is comfortable with current policy.
Georgia Girl, may I stand with you? If it is a State by State matter, then if I disagree with the pro/anti abortion laws,.I can move to a different state. We, here at FR, could then unite and stay focused on First Amendment threats, which to me are the most dangerous to a Republic. If we lose Speech to P.C. Laws, where will this Forum be??

I’m just glad it sounds like he got a political consultant to help with his answers.
YES, he needs one.
not the BEST replies, but it shows he can listen to pros.
I know we love his straight shooting approach, but he needs help from a pro. That’s just the truth. Or he will keep having to walk things back.
getting help is a GOOD thing.
as for the horrific abortion issue, it is a SC decision. He should say he’s appoint pro life SC nominees and not hypothesize on a theoretical punishment.
