Since 1994, the Republican Party has held the House of Representatives for 18 out of the last 22 years.

The House of Representatives have the power of the purse and to impeach justices.

In the 18 years that the Republicans have held power, what have they done about abortion?

They continued to fund Planned Parenthood
They did nothing about federal judges who usurped state laws regulating abortions
They did nothing when abortionists such as Kermit Gosnell outright killed innocent life

House Republicans have the power to defund abortion, to impeach judges, to abolish judiciaries, and to overturn Roe vs Wade.

HAVE THEY DONE IT???

Presidents can wholesale eliminate Judges and Federal Courts as Thomas Jefferson did. Why haven’t any of the ‘Pro-Life’ Presidents eliminated the ninth circuit or the DC court of appeals. Jefferson did it.

They are not exactly fervent pro-lifers or even all that conservative. That is why.

Exactly,

And the republicans won’t do it

They need the issue so they can get these “values voters” to the voting booth

That is all that matters

That is the $64000 question. Abortion is here to stay. Too many people insist that it be legal.

On the right, we turn it into a suicide pill for our candidates to swallow and if they won’t swallow, we force them to take it. I was hoping that this election could steer clear of the abortion issue—and issue that will NEVER be resolved.

But now Trump has answered the question that is wrong no matter how you answer it.

So congratulations. Order your Romney/Ryan 2016 yard signs now before they sell out!! I hope Bernie gets the Dem nomination. #BernThisMuthaDown

Or AT LEAST cut it to 3 months or something!!! Any life saved is good!!

The polls show Americans would go for it

Keep fighting for outlawing it. But getting rid of abortion earlier and earlier saves lives!!!

Accepting all of that as true, in what way is that a defense of Donald Trump’s statements? It isn’t in the least. Would he even reinstate the Mexico City policy? Doesn’t sound like it with these latest comments.

Even though it is irrelevant, your list is incomplete and overly simplistic. You really think getting that ban on partial birth abortion through was an insignificant achievement? You think that if they took the position of impeaching judges that the 2/3 of the Senate would go along with it - you have quite exaggerated the powers of the House - they wouldn’t be able to do much of that...even if they wanted to. But assuming they could, your comments are just a shiny object - in no way is it a defense of Trump.
