Rand Paul will back Trump if he is nominee
Politico ^ | 2 Apr 2016 | Nick Gass

It may be April 1, but apparently Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is not joking about supporting Donald Trump for the Republican nomination if — if — he emerges as the party's nominee in the general election.

Paul said Friday morning that he would support whoever is named the Republican nominee, even if it's Trump, telling a Cincinnati Enquirer reporter during a visit to the metro area in Kentucky that backing the Manhattan businessman would be better than going for Hillary Clinton. The senator, according to the report, specifically criticized Clinton's comments in Ohio that she would "put a whole lot of companies and coal miners out of business."

"I think we never get the candidate we exactly want unless you're the candidate," Paul said. "Think about it from this perspective: I'm from Kentucky, and Hillary Clinton recently said she would put coal miners out of business, and she would put coal companies out of business."

Defeating the Dems by calling one of them a Republican isn’t a very conservative plan.

Entropy? Endorsing disorder.

I guess upheaval is good , but this may seem a bit odd to some.

This the same Rand Paul who fell close to the “Iran should have nuclear weapons” crazy tree?

Hmmm. That’s about as useful as an endorsement from Glenn Beck.

I cant stand ted Cruz but dislike him less than I did Mitt Romney whom I voted for. Voting for a candidate you dislike is less painful if you vote absentee. That what I did with Mittens.

We must stop Hilliary or Bernie!

I predicted that Trump and Paul had already made a deal a month ago, and that Paul will be the VP nominee.

Indeed. I will vote for either Trump or Cruz. I can’t see myself voting for the GOPe pick if they pull some dirty tricks at the convention, though.

And I, a Trump supporter, will back Cruz ih he is the nominee.

Cruz's job is to hobble Trump so that the GOP can nominate someone not named Ted Cruz as the nominee.

Will you back that person?
