Hillary Clinton loses it when Greenpeace activist asks about her fossil fuel donors

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton was captured losing her cool Thursday when confronted by a Greenpeace activist about the millions of dollars in direct and indirect donations she receives from the fossil fuel industry.

“Regarding climate change, can we have your word that you’ll reject fossil fuel money in the future for your campaign?” Greenpeace “democracy organizer” Eva Resnick-Day asked.

“I don’t have money from people who work for fossil fuel companies,” Clinton claimed, before bizarrely blaming her surging opponent, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, who had nothing to do with the question. “I am so sick, I am so sick of the Sanders campaign lying about me. I’m sick of it.”

The Clinton campaign accepted at least $160,000 in direct donations from the fossil fuel industry, according to the Annenberg Foundation, while Priorities USA Action, a “Pro-Hillary Clinton Super PAC” that raised $40 million in 2015, raised $3.25 million in contributions from employees of fossil fuel companies.

The PAC’s notable donors include controversial Israel financer Haim Saban, billionaire George Soros, and beloved Hollywood director Steven Spielberg, who all forked out $1 million each for Clinton’s campaign.

Despite her vow to “end” climate change if she wins the presidency, millions were also donated to The Clinton Foundation, the charity she set up with her husband Bill, by fossil fuel companies such as ExxonMobil, Duke Energy, and Anadarko Petroleum.

Clinton, under fire for oil and gas donations, once hit Obama for same reason

Hillary Clinton, currently defending herself from environmental critics for accepting money from employees at oil and gas companies, hit then-Sen. Barack Obama for doing the same thing in 2008.

Clinton lost her temper at an event on Thursday when activists from Greenpeace and 350 Action, two environmental organization, asked her to “reject fossil fuel money” and not accept donations from the gas and oil industry. “I’m so sick of the Sanders’ campaign lying about me. I’m sick of it,” Clinton said.

In response to the confrontation, Nick Merrill, Clinton’s spokesman, said the candidate “has not taken a dollar from oil and gas industry PACs or corporations.” Clinton’s campaign, in fact, has not received any money directly from oil and gas companies, as that would violate election law.

No, of course you’re not. But, hopefully the remaining challengers for the GOP nod are studying these clips with a Peyton Manning eye.

If Trump is the R candidate, the D’s will do everything in their power to prevent a head to head debate. Not because he’d flummox her with facts, but he’d just flat set her off in record time. Whatever flak Hillary might take for refusing to debate would be a tiny fraction of the damage she’d incur if she did take the stage with Trump.

She could handle Cruz, though, even though his command of facts should annhilate her. But he’s too into speechifying, and his unfortunate, coached cadence has a way of undermining the impact of the message. She’d have time to swallow her bile and respond with any nonsequitur she wanted, and it wouldn’t hurt her.

What absolutely will hurt her is something like we just saw in this video. Fiorina or Christie would have had Hillary in a straight jacket in the first 10 minutes. So I do miss those two, if only for that reason.

And all this time, Hillary thought she’d be facing off with Jeb. Bwahahaha!
