Same period that National Geographic and Reader’s Digest shifted. All started to occur around late 1990s.

Same thing happened with Scientific America. I stopped my subscription in '95. The articles became dumbed down and started a massive left wing slant.

When sci-fi changed its name to “si-fi” it also took a nosedive. Comedy Central was once funny, and featured shows like mst-3000! Those days are long gone. It has been a coordinated dumbing down by all the networks and publishers. They must meet every year to decide how stupid they’ll get, based on what they think the majority can stomach.

Cops and married with children are the only good shows on anymore, for me, and they are reruns for the most part.

I too gave up my Scientific American subscription after that leftist Rennie took over. Every issue started to fill up with sociology crap.
