Bronx residents blast Ted Cruz over his ‘New York values’ insult and stance on immigration

Value this.

Ted Cruz got the Bronx cheer Wednesday from angry New Yorkers upset over the Republican presidential candidate’s callous “New York values” crack and his harsh stance on immigration.

Cruz was crucified during a stop in the Bronx, where residents and elected leaders derided him for insulting the city and the borough, only to come crawling back begging for money and votes.

“Just because he has a Hispanic last name does not mean he's Hispanic,” said hairstylist Edna Ferrer, 57, who was chastising Cruz supporters outside a campaign event in the Bronx. “His mind is white.”

Moments earlier, the Cruz campaign took a page out of rival Donald Trump’s book, removing one demonstrator from the event when the criticism got too loud.

The heckler got the heave-ho from Sabrosura restaurant on Westchester Ave. in the Soundview section after shouting that Cruz had no business in the Bronx.

To be fair though, I live here and the fine in NYC if you call a man who doesn’t want to be called a man, a man, the fine is 250K!!!!!!

Cuomo cuts off business with every Southern State that so much as whispers protecting religious liberty.

No guns, God forbid.

The student punks who wanted to walk out on cruz i’m sure are 75 percent on welfare.

Pushing hard to let men in women’s bathrooms and so on.

Staten Island is a different story, thank God.

And Ted shouldn’t have said it.

But NYC is insane.

They do not mention this man, that the Inquisitr report quoted, who gets what it was Cruz was trying to say:
Donald Sadler, told the Huffington Post that he is a Cruz supporter and that he was glad to see Cruz in his borough. Sadler said that he understood what Cruz meant by “New York values” and that he agrees with the Texas senator.

“I understand clearly,” he said. “I’m pro-life. I’m pro-Second Amendment. I’m born and raised in New York City. I’m pro-family, traditional family, traditional marriage. These are our values. This is my value. This is not the general value of how voters in New York vote, and that’s what he said.”

Sadly, the way Trump initially phrased the original comment during the debate, and then the way that Trump it turned around on him...followed by the press, means that very, very few New Yorker's will make the connections that this man has.

Cruz is showing fortitude in going there and tryng to get the explanation out...and I can respect that. But quite frankly, at this poin, his time is probably going to be more productively spent in PA and MD.

Of course Ted was referring to liberal New Yorker’s values. And, of course, only liberal New Yorker’s are upset about it. Too bad ya rats!

If the cowardly bastards had stood up to their own government, they wouldn’t have had to risk there lives sneaking into America only to have to live in the most evil and “rasis” country on the planet. Dumbasses.

Cruz said “New York” with no qualifications, and he can’t even lie his way out of this one.

He’s toast in New York.

As someone supporting Trump over Cruz, I have to admit that like many things Trump has said, what Cruz said about New York values is essentially true but he should have held his tongue.

Most people outside NYC understood perfectly well what Cruz meant, NY libs of course disagree and choose to act offended instead.
Entirely predictable.

Are you forgetting his slamming an entire state in one breath?

“New York values”....and 95 delegates at stake. So dumb.

Right now the only one in New York state who likes him is Megyn Kelly, and she wants to be a Star Trek action figure.
