The thing is, the rest of the country understands his reference. When you have the GOVERNOR of NY publically declaring that “anyone who is Pro-Life or he doesn’t support same sex marriage is not welcome in NY” you can see exactly what NY Values are.

The Governor of New York, is not the Republican/Conservative people of New York!!! The New York Republicans/Conservatives will wipe Ted Cruz off the face of the political map in th New York POTUS Primary...period!!! And...the entire Northeast states will follow suit in the POTUS Primary!!!

“The thing is, the rest of the country understands his reference. “

Just like they “understood” the “bitter clinger” remarks from Obama that we were all acting indignant about back in 2008?

If you take a shot at a state, dont be shocked when they give you the finger when you need their vote.

New York is, and has been for some time, the quintessential “blue” state, if only because the City of New York has such a preponderance of weight in the state. Back in 1963 Barry Goldwater suggested that taking a saw and cutting the five boroughs off entirely from the mainland, and letting it float out to sea, may be a good hypothetical to follow up on.

Almost all of New York City is based on islands anyway. Only The Bronx is attached to the mainland, while the major part of the city of the city is on Long Island.

I understood his reference but one cannot speak negatively about another state, region etc without their being some consequences. I tak affront when I here someone state more southerners are less educated, more overweight, etc. it may be true but when it is stated as a put down I take offense. The fact Cruz stated it as a put down turned off people in NY and the region. Texans hate “Yankee” put downs just as much. Cruz should have moved on rather than doubling down. He has that in common with Trump.
