That is not just because of sentiment. It is based on sworn duty. It is not subject to debate. It has to do with honor, trust & loyalty.
And please, do not imply any indifference to the tragic carnage that goes on between the factions in Afghanistan. That simply is not the focus required by an honorable President, sworn to protect and defend legal Government in America. (And, of course, it does not condone anything we do in Afghanistan, which is not out of necessity to protect any Americans over there.
