Jeb Bush is available for paid speeches
Sacramento Business Journal ^ | Apr 6, 2016 | Ed Goldman

A brief news item appeared last week in the Wall Street Journal under the headline, "Jeb Bush Available For Paid Speeches."

This struck me as dubious news. The guy — who I suggested in a recent column should team up with Dr. Ben Carson and go on tour as the Ambien Twins — is being hyped as a paid speaker?

But not just any paid speaker. As the article pointed out, Bush (and this really had me scratching my head) "reported last year earning nearly $10 million in speaking fees since 2007, receiving as much as $40,000 a speech in the U.S. and as much as $75,000 overseas."

People pay for the speeches because they expect some quid pro quo
Access to policy makers
Bush is running low on contacts if the regime ancien is splintered
He’ll be speaking for gas money plus lunch

Few were attending his free speeches, how many does he really expect to pay to attend one of his speeches?

Yeah, but Bush will never match the Clinton honoraria.

The Clintons astounding honoraria augment the couples mega income. Bill's honoraria increased dramatically pocketing some $50 million during Hillary's four-year term as Secretary of State....including an Irish scholarship fund, a Korean conglomerate, and, a Nigerian newspaper company......each of whom paid Clinton more than half a million dollars for a single speech.

The Wash/Post reports Hillary earned $11.7 million for 51 speeches since Jan 2014.....she pocketed an astonishing $625,000 for two speeches in one day.

Jebbie should ask Hillary for a copy of her client list.

I’m sure his speeches are every bit as interesting and stimulating as hers.

Jeb should probably get a job. With qualifications like two term governor of Florida he might get a job as slogan writer for the Democrat or Republicrat Party.

He’ll never make it as a paid speaker as he has nothing to trade like Hillary.

You got 257,760 / 1.16 % votes during the primaries...

Nobody is interested in what you have to say...

this is the reason I look at the bush family and I think they are at keeping out of the news cycle when it comes to there corruption. We need to make it illegal for anyone involved in politics to take a speaking fee withy in five or ten years of running for political office before and after. we also need to make it illegal for politicians to take book advances both speeches and book advances is how bribes are being hidden in plane site within American politics.

Hillary gave a speech in Chicago for the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Now, that’s funny! I’m sure they got their money’s worth from the world’s foremost expert.
