I totally get it but Trump is NOT conservative. He said he’d keep planned parenthood, he’d promote LGBT issues (unbelievable), he’s for touchback amnesty (WTF), he likes TARP, he’s barely doing anything to the tax code and never once said get rid of the IRS, he thinks our abortion laws and gay laws are laws of the land...

these are just a few of his positions that I can remember. Plus all the donations to libtards. What about his donation to Kamala Harris (along with his daughter) who is the main supporter of sanctuary cities!?

Cruz has a ton of fight in him. I do not see the gope being successful in overriding Trump or Cruz in the convention. They have to get rid of rule 40 and I don’t see that happening either.

Bottom line, let the top 2 fight it out all the way to the end...what’s the purpose of saying one has to drop out now?

Actually, the bottom line is the GOP establishment will never let Cruz win at the convention. He has no shot at winning by the vote and no shot at winning at a convention controlled by the establishment. There is no reason for him to hang in there.

You are misinterpreting most of what Trump’s positions are. But I won’t waste my time with the details except to point out one thing - if Trump was really for touchback amnesty, do you really think Jeff Sessions and Sheriff Joe would be heartily endorsing him?

I elaborated on Mr Sessions in post 154.

Surely you jest? So that Trump, as the only valid candidate standing, will have no difficulty in reaching the 1237 delegate threshold. That is opposed to possibly neither reaching 1237 and both being disenfranchised by the exclusionary rule, therefore allowing the GOPe to stand up their own Dole/McCain/Romney nominee.

Cruz has zero chance of getting the nomination in the first vote or any subsequent vote. If Trump isn’t the nominee the gopE bosses will force their choice on us and that won’t be Cruz! It is either Trump or we lose. How Cruz people miss this is beyond strange.

Who do you think the skunks running the convention are going to choose in round two, round three, round .... ? I can submit 4 possible establishment choices and none of them are Trump or Cruz.

Conservatives are so smart they are often completely blind to the reality of the corruption of politics. Oh sure but this year it will be different, the GOP establishment will choose the conservative! NO THEY WON’T !

They are using Cruz to take out Trump who is the only one who has the support to win.
