RE: Louisiana governor signs order protecting LGBT rights

Will he sign a bill protecting the rights of devout Christians?

What rights do an LGBT-EIEIO person possess that I as a normal heterosexual do not; and how does that square with the 14th Amendment?

Louisiana should put up a large billboard with Bobby Jindal; caption reading “Miss Me Yet?”, similar to the one seen here with W’s picture on it in the early obama days.

Too bad he didn’t sign an order to protect lives from murder.

Pretty amazing. This seems like one of the routs during a Iron Age battle. The formation has collapsed and now the victor is sending in the cavalry to finish off the stragglers.

Ask pagan societies of the past.

Only time will tell if this is the social conservative “Waterloo” or merely “Dunkirk” before we all get properly organized and fight back.

People on FR were trashing Jindal, and praising the democrats.

David Vitter—Edwards’ opponent in the governor’s race—was a Republican with a solid conservative record, but he got caught with his name in the DC madam’s client list. So Edwards won based on the “conservative Christians are all hypocrites” platform.
Sigh!

Republican leaders backed the democrat, refused to support Vitter. Jindal refused to support Vitter.

Two questions:
1. Does he give permission for a transgender male to use the women’s restroom and locker rooms?? - as did Charlotte did.
2. If so, doesn’t that remove a woman’s right to privacy? Thereby, favoring transgenders more than women?

“WTF happened to Louisiana?”

In the beginning, the remarkably corrupt - and possibly diabolical - regency of the Duc d’ Orleans. That is a legacy of corruption which has lived on for generations like a bad sour dough recipe.

More recently, the oil crash on the heels of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and natural disasters exacerbated by home grown stupid and federal ‘help’.

Louisiana has many qualities, but is always fragile, eccentric, and on the edge of breakdown.

The nature of Vitter's constituency is well known. They have a set standard of behavior. If you do not wish to live up to that standard of behavior, you should not attempt to lead that constituency.

Bad move on Vitter's part. He should have known he was toast, and stepped aside so that someone else could have won that position.

Yes, conservative Christians will object to being led by a whoremonger. Dog bites man.

This only applies to state employees and agencies, not private companies. A new conservative governor can just as easily undo it.
