Cruz is a very destructive force in the GOP right now.
He needs to stand down, and accept some sort of accommodation with Trump.
He will not be the president. He just won’t be. He doesn’t win primaries, and he won’t win the election. He just won’t.
I am watching the CNN Democrat debate right now. Both candidates are very fired up, the crowd is very engaged, and we very much need a STRONG CANDIDATE to compete.
The candidate will need to win votes. Trump is the person who can win the election, and Cruz needs to STAND DOWN.
The Cruz backers here, are complete tools.
>> [Cruz] needs to stand down... He will not be the president. He just wont be... he wont win the election. He just wont... Cruz needs to STAND DOWN.
Impeccable logic. In the face of such a well-reasoned, airtight argument to the contrary, how could ANYONE be a “Cruz tool”? Like me, for instance? Unthinkable.
Well said. There is GETTING ELECTED and there is BEING PRESIDENT.
If you can't do the first, it doesn't matter how well you might do the second.
Regardless to whether one thinks Cruz or Trump would make the best President, one must face the fact that you can only be President if you win the election.
Trump is the person who can win the election, and Cruz needs to STAND DOWN.
I think Cruz might make a good President. Especially if this were the early 90's or something. Those who believe Cruz can win don't understand that about 80% (my estimate) of voters don't give a hoot about whether Cruz is a conservative Constitutionalist. Certainly not most of the democrat voters, and since they outnumber the republican voters to begin with, the math should be obvious.
SO, here we all are, split between concern over who might be the best President, and who can win the election.
Cruz couldn't win the South / Red States in the primary. Doubtful he would win them in the general.
More evangelicals have voted for Trump over Cruz. Cruz's campaign manager has convinced Cruz that buying delegates with free trips, working the system will ensure so much goodwill with general election voters in the general election. When the opposite is the truth. Cruz cannot win the South. or Florida. Or Ohio in the general, let alone the primary.
Why can't Cruz's campaign manger be honest with Cruz and make Cruz be honest with himself that when he gloats on Hannity’s radio show that he is securing supposed delegates over Trump in certain states, that it is the biggest turnoff and disenfranchisement of actual voters in modern US election history.
Just like Trumps oped in the WSJ, Cruz is not only acknowledging he favors disenfranchising millions of voters, Cruz also thinks his unorthodox strategy is a winning strategy, which it is not.
The delusions of the Cruz campaign will go down in history with inability to acknowledge that voters do not like be disenfranchised by an outsider. Cruz isn't even from Colorado yet he is most responsible for disenfranchising millions of people from Colorado. And so many other states where he is playing the delegate game, states that overwhelmingly chose Trump. Cruzs tactics are not just pathetic, they are causing 2nd hand embarrassment for his lack of integrity.
why in the heck do you just want Cruz to get out if he is tanking??? WHY?? Methinks you are afraid of him. I don’t know how any of us could have heard anything at the time Cruz was trying to speak It appears something happened to the sound which came back immediately after cruz finished. Shall we call it Trump mischief. Trump spent a lot of time talking about New Yorkers values not social values but firemen and policemen talked about this thru most of his speech when he wasn’t bragging about himself.
This needs to be repeated.
**Cruz is a very destructive force in the GOP right now.**
You're a very persuasive poster...words like yours put me in a fighting mood for Cruz that shall not abate until Trump is over 1237.
