They already have. Miguel Estrada, and Robert Bork immediately come to mind. I’m sure there were others. Note that in the first case, racist Democrats rejected a Hispanic candidate. Janice Rogers Brown (a conservative black judge) was not nominated when Democrats signaled that they would not approve her (Alito was nominated instead).

“Hey, cool. I say we don’t ever confirm another SCOTUS judge, ever. For eternity.”

Yes!!! And with each coming death, the Court would get better! Starting with Ruth Buzzy Ginsberg, the Wise Latrina, and the Kagan Pig!

Is he referring to the political assassination of Robert Bork?

FReepers will note that there is not one whit of conversation about what is best for the USA?

Instead it is all about “Get even with then!”

Washington DC needs some serious adult supervision!

FDR Knowingly and willfully packed the court! He lied to congress and the rest of his own party about it.... the left and dems have absolutely no leg to stand on when it comes to warning about politicizing the court.

I’ll certainly not disagree with you on that point, but the starting point is the “bully pulpit!”

If a low-life LIEberal scumbag inhabits the White House, the rest of the nation follows suit, and becomes, in effect (with some very notable exceptions, certain FReepers included), low-life scumbags - “Just following orders;” “Just following the examples set;” “Going along to get along;” Just wanting to ‘fit in;’” etc., etc.

“This is a fine mess you’ve got us in, Ophonybama! Now what?”
