You lack objectivity because you don’t understand who many Trump supporters are, how angry they are, nor do you know how many of them are perfectly willing to burn the GOP down and piss on its ashes, if it comes to that. You are a traditional conservative Republican voter. Nothing wrong with that at all. I used to be one, too, until I looked behind the curtain.
Trump voters, large numbers of them, are not like you. They don’t think like you and they will not behave as you so shortsightedly and arrogantly predict. They are finished being sheep on the R plantation, sheered periodically for money and votes, and then conveniently ignored until the next time they’re needed.
Many others are first time voters, disaffected white males who are both economically distressed and sick of being blamed for all of society’s ills. They see Trump as a means to redress their grievances. They are hopeful, many for the first time in a long time. Remove that hope, and their anger will find an outlet, one way or another.
If you want to actually open your mind and become informed about what this movement is, look into Bikers for Trump, check out the Trump guys on Reddit, investigate the alt right. These are not people who will quietly go away. They are certainly not people who will obligingly pull a lever for Cruz because the Republican party needs their vote to defeat Hillary. They will kamikaze vote up and down the ticket in revenge. Plans are already being made to do just that, and more, if Trump wins a plurality of delegates and is denied the nomination. I’m not advocating their actions; I’m telling you what they are going to do.
After a contested convention, Cruz will not be president. These guys will make sure of it, and all your wishful thinking and confident assertions that this time is really like all the other times, isn’t going to change that. Because this time is different.
The next president will be named Trump or Clinton. Bet on it.

2016 is ether the year of Trump and the rebirth of the GOP into a right of center American first party or the end of the party. There won't a Cruz presidency no matter how much you want it and there won't be a Conservative movement left after Cruz gets done sullying the brand after a convention coup. You have 2 choices: Trump and conservitive nationalism or Hillery and 3ed world Muslim invasion. Choose wisely.

I grew up with and worked with Trumpbot type folks for a mighty long time and I know exactly who they are and how they think. Most are too lazy to actually try to work to change the system and are mostly libertarian without brains enough to know it.
Indeed Trump has captured their minds. If he wasn’t pointing at the GOP, it would just be someone else to hate on his behalf.
Exactly the sort of people I do not want for friends, because they really don’t know how to be friends. Its all about “them”.
When it all said and done, those that refuse to vote against hitlery, most likely never voted much anyway and sure as hell have not one loyalty cell in their body. So when they are gone, no one will know the difference.
It didn’t take long before you ran out of “discussion” and went into threaten mode and then grab up your marbles to run home. Just as I predicted.
