Robert's only real ability to wield power is when the vote is within the margin of error. When it's heavily lopsided, Roberts might as well just apply the law as clearly as he can see it, for all the good it will do.

When Roberts can help Obama, Roberts helps Obama, and i'm convinced it is because of what Obama represents in Robert's mind, and not because Roberts is applying the law correctly.

Roberts is demonstrating his own squirrely brand of "Stockholm syndrome."
