Do independents in California get to vote in party primaries? In Ohio, if you aren’t registered in a party you can only get the non-partisan ballot on primary day which will have things like school levies or in Boehner’s district the special election to replace him (but not the candidate selection for the November general elections).

The Dems allow anyone to vote in their primary. The Repubs have a closed presidential primary.

May 23rd is the last day to register as a Republican in Kali.
