I’m cynical and curmudgeonly, so you need to take that into account when I express my opinions.

I kind of liked the TV series but quit watching it after a few episodes because I didn’t want to keep up with it.

The film was OK, but for me it was almost ruined by the performance of Brad Pitt. Pitt has always wanted to show that he’s not just a pretty face, but that he can actually act. He does this by overacting outrageously (I thought he was quite good in Moneyball, though).

On the other hand, I think La Jetée is great.

I found that in a series like this, which jumps back and forth across time, when you can watch them all in a row—binge watch-—it is easier to follow. But I’m just amazed at the identical makeup of so many casts.
