The White House on Monday signaled President Obama would veto legislation to allow Americans to sue the government of Saudi Arabia for any role officials played in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
Given the long list of concerns I have expressed ... its difficult to imagine a scenario in which the president would sign the bill as it's currently drafted, White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters.
Earnest argued the legislation could jeopardize U.S. citizens overseas if other countries were to pass reciprocal laws that remove foreign immunity in their courts.
It could put the United States and our taxpayers and our service members and our diplomats at significant risk if other countries were to adopt a similar law, he said.
The whole notion of sovereign immunity is at stake.

Let him veto it.
Hillary is going to run as an obama third term
How much will the Saudis pay into Obama’s Swiss account for the veto?
They can always blame Bush.
The Saudis must be deeply involved in 9-11.
Why did Bush cover up Saudi Arabia’s connections to 9/11? Jacked up.
...
DIRTYSECRET: They can always blame Bush.
...
Sounds like a valid point he may be doing it help the Saudis but perhaps the first point takes precedence.
A case of Obama doing the right thing for the wrong reason.
MAKE BENDOVER BARRY TRAITOR VETO IT....
Renting a car in Japan, you can step in some DEEP benjo if you accidentally splash some little old Mama San with your car.
Or, have I been missing a bet?
Send it to him anyway.
He’s not one of us.
well, O probably just got paid off several more million dollars to sell out USA yet one more time
Shocking! /s
Dear Fat Ass Saudi Bacon eaten royalty........ your threats, panic on this issue etc reveal your deep involvement in the support of the 9/11 attack on america. Your Muslim Monkey in the white house’s pissin and pinching proves it.
Guilty ...... Bous Zippy, Kel Zegi house of Fahd ..... !
As much as I hate to say it, I agree with zero here.. even tho his intentions aren’t the same.
Why the hell would we set the precedent for us to sue other nations, when every other nation on earth would constantly sue us? on a regular basis.. I can just imagine the frivolity..
This is a dereliction of duty issue and the 28 pages should be released.. If the Saudi Govt. was involved, it’s an act of war and we should declare ware on them and well.. you know the rest of the story.. if it is the case, then we should have a long time ago - what a disappointment.
taking things like this to court is just not the right way to deal with it..
I heard Bolton speak on this a few days ago and I agreed. We take it out of their ass via the military not thru some world court.
The Saudi’s are in it right up to the collar of their night shirts
Didn’t Bernie say he would vote for this in the senate? And Cruz too? Trump is for it. Don’t know about Kasich.
There is so much blackmailing going on in our government, nothing has been or will be getting done for a while...
Hillary has the goods on everyone, obuma is being blackmailied because he’s a Muslim; the Senate and the Reps. can’t do anything, to many D.C. Madam’s calls they don’t want their wives to know about...and it keeps on going...
Mass troops and armor in Iraq for a massive thrust south
to take the House of Saud and historical site Mecca.
I don’t think it’s black-mail. It’s campaign funds.
Go look at the Senate and how much is required for an election every six years. If some Saudi lobbyists or Saudi-support PAC agrees to toss five million through some non-identified person toward the campaign....it’s a big deal. I’m guessing that President Bush probably got more than forty-odd million for his campaign, and President Obama a similar amount. I’d also bet that Senator McCain got money for his campaign from the Saudis as well. Trump? I have doubts and maybe that’s why so many hustlers are negative about him and trying to prevent his election.
The bottom line is that the Iraq War and the taking down of Saddam was all an act conceived and supported by the Saudis. The creation of ISIS? Probably by the Saudis. Just about every evil thing of the past twenty years? Goes to the Saudis.
