Thanks! I had to look it up. I probably have made that mistake a lot through the years.
Disdain can be either a noun or a verb. As a noun disdain means the general attitude of something or someone being beneath consideration or not valuable enough for respect. The verb form is transitive, or used with an object. To disdain something is to mock it or judge it poorly. One can also disdain an action, in other words, refuse to complete the action because one has deemed it beneath consideration or unworthy. The adjective form is disdainful, which describes something or someone has having a lack of regard or respect. Derivatives of this form include the adverb disdainfully and the rare noun form disdainfulness. Distain is an archaic word not listed in all dictionaries. It meant for something to be stained or disgraced. However, generally it is most often seen in publications as a misspelling of disdain. The main confusion between these two spellings is that the d sound and t sound are almost identical in formation and their only difference is that one is voiced and the other is unvoiced. Add in regional dialects and it would be hard to know how to spell this word based on hearing it alone.

April 2016 Pathankot AFB terror strike - 7 killed including 3 civilians

Pakistani media claims this attack carried out by their allies in the Khalistan “movement” - you tube link below. Note the videos are in Urdu so we could always ask the CoK posters here for a complete translated transcript from their native tongue.

I can understand Urdu but it’s not my first language.

Once you get past the ‘allah fubar’ chanting, it’s all downhill from there anyway, *thanks* for the continued extensive research into that dirt bag.

Hi back at ya Dolly. I’d love to do an event in Jan. Maybe around the inauguration?

I’ve met him personally at a couple of FR events.

Didn’t know until recently that he was a Paki flack.

Well, you had no way of knowing his official role with CoK. If you look at his FR post history, he used to post openly defending the Pakis and their allies without letting on that he was/is a part of the Paki-Khalistani propaganda effort in DC.

“Too many others want to put the cart before the horse and elect the ‘true conservative’ now, which will never happen in this fractured, decimated country.”

Great points. My father lamented that he wished we had another George Washington as the GOP nominee.

I didn’t take any pleasure in telling him I didn’t think George Washington could get elected in the country’s current state.

NorthMountain,

One of the good and bad parts of a democracy is that people get to vote for their leadership. It is not assigned or taken by force. You may not like Trump, and there are many things I don’t like about him either. But when you consider the alternative, you might have to take what you can get. Cruz and his puppy Kasich, are not by their act going to try to improve or correct the country’s problems. They are going to tread water waiting for the end of their lackluster do nothing term, allowing the liberals to control them with the media and we will be in the same over debt, unemployed, incorrectly taxed, over rum with aliens, turning into third world country, big brother controlled country we currently are rushing into. Trump has no fear of the media, is not looking for a job, and is not a beltway clown ready for folding up like a lawn chair. And Trump at this point is the only conservative candidate appearing to wanting to change anything. A vote for Cruz is to vote for a failing country. A vote for Trump has a chance to turn it around. You decide for yourself. I have. And when you consider that Cruz is not going to beat Hilary because the Trump supporters will bail as the primaries have displayed who they support, then we’ll lose congress, control of the justice system, and our kids will be further dumbed down by federal policies in local school to keep them under control, please don’t be so quick to say Trump has or has not earned your vote. He’s got almost everyone else. Look at the numbers. Protect yourself.

It is [our] adherence to a grievously flawed man

I categorically reject your characterization of Donald Trump as "greviously flawed" and submit that it is hysterical, exaggerated, and irrational.

A huge majority of this forum, who didn't use to support Donald Trump, but instead started out supporting Ted Cruz, now have come to a position of overwhelming support for Donald Trump.

That did not happen in a vacuum, and, on average, every one of the members of this forum is every bit as patriotic and conservative as you are. It is wrong to insult their intelligence, political perception, or character.

Collectively speaking, there is near consensus on this forum that you are factually incorrect in your characterization of Donald Trump, to the degree that we are eminently willing to support Donald Trump's Presidential candidacy and nomination.

Your characterization of Donald Trump, interestingly enough, far exceeds the vehemence shown by even Ted Cruz himself, and happens to overlap rather strongly with that of the GOPe, the Left, the Media, and the Establishment in general.

You're insisting that we accept the hateful Establishment characterization of Donald Trump, and we reject that.

Donald Trump's campaign represents an existential threat to the Uniparty system, a system wherein, no matter who is in power, every member in good standing always has a place reserved for them at the feeding trough. If elected, Donald Trump is going to try to end that situation, to the best of his ability. Nothing good will happen in Washington until that initial step has been taken.

In supporting Donald Trump, our conscience is clear enough. He represents, by far, the greatest potential for steering the American ship of State for the next 4 to 8 years.

Conversely, these same people have weighed Ted Cruz in the balance, and he is the one who has been found most wanting. If he wishes to redeem himself, he will unify this party instead of attempt to divide it.

Thus you, Ted Cruz, the GOPe, and all other elements of Donald Trump's opposition are not going to win this debate in this community. The debate has moved against your preferred candidate decisively, and is concluding even as I write these words.

Thus, if you continue to propagate narratives which we deem to be false, and which seek only to undermine unity, and which serve no constructive purpose, please don't be surprised if your diatribes are met with an increasingly dismissive attitude.

The GOP electorate does not want a contested convention. They want the party to unite behind its presumptive nominee, Donald Trump.

Vote Trump

mousel,

I’m a firm believer that it really doesn’t mean much to guess at state commitments with polls. I don’t know if Trump will carry all the remaining primaries, but he’s carried a vast majority up to this time. And the open display of the Cruz/Kasich “plan” to try to overthrow Trump will cause them to lose votes. So according to the graph, how can they give all the votes of states primaries not yet done and not recently polled to Cruz? Can we “say, “manipulation?”

You know very well that you’re lying.

1. I have never supported terrorists. Apparently, your definition of a terrorist is anyone who seeks freedom by peaceful, democratic, nonviolent means.

You know this is the truth.

2. Again, you know that what you posted is FALSE. I have never supported Pakistan, although they have from time to time been helpful. Like Saudi Arabia, they hve a divided government, some of which wants to help us and some of which supports the terrorists. They need to get that under control.

You may recall — but choose not to — that I’m the one who has said repeatedly that we ought to tell Pakistan that they either get some control over Waziristan (wehre many of the terrorists are harbored, or we will. Had we done this long ago, we’d hve fewre problems.

3. I post press releases from time to time in support of freedom for the Sikhs and others who are fighting Indian oppression.

4. False again. I don’t hate Trump — I don’t support him. I think he’s a “progressive”, and he is starting to prove me right. I used to like him very much before this election. (I’m from New York, and I know of good things he did for the city.) But I’ve examined his record through the years and found it wanting from a constitutional conservative perspective.

I don’t think we gain anything by electing “our progressive” instead of “their progressive”. Do you?

5. Again, a known, proven lie.And you know that very well.

I’m surprised JimRob lets you get away with your repeated smears and violations of the personal attack rule. You;re a troll and an RSS propagandist.

1 last thing - you were a proud supporter of Pakistan, their army and government, and their jihadist tendencies till recently. Heck, you were posting congratulatory press releases every time the Pakistani army announced the launch of a nuclear-tipped Islamist missile - and then reposting those as new threads on FR.

Want me to find your thread and post it back to you? It’ll take me a while but I’ll find it.
