There have been no delusions as to Donald Trump being liberal in a lot of his views. I know it’s believed Trump backers are blind to this. Not true. If the most conservative person were in this race and had no fight, no spine, no defying congress, no guts... what would it matter... that’s the problem now, there is no one to fight against what is and what has been going on. I think perhaps one of the defining words of conservatives would be to acquiesce... (easy going ole’ joe who wants to just get along and not ruffle feathers)... incorrect, but sometimes it sounds like that.
Libertarian not liberal. Is it a conservative thing to pass laws stating what businesses should do on their property? I find that very not conservative and big govt like.
Trump used libertarianism to pivot towards the general election and to avoid these gotcha social hot button issues that just produce no good press. Stick to border security and the economy and we win.
Trump is not a liberal. He is a populist; but he is still the best among bad choices.
