Well, well, well Trump and Kasich think it is OK for a 35 year old man to go into the girls bathroom. Cruz does not. How will that play in Indiana and Pennsylvania?

Trump as POTUS would govern like a RINO, maybe worse. There’s a reason New Yorkers voted for him overwhelmingly. Same for all the other deep BLUE “Acela” states that will give him the nod next week.

Well, well, well Ted Cruz says Trump supporters are Hillary supporters. How will that play in Indiana and Pennsylvania?

I can’t believe I once supported this guy. He’s hopping on the uninformed doofus train with Springsteen who cancelled a concert in NC. Ringo Starr did to. For what that’s worth.

As a NC resident I think he should have stayed out of this one as I think it’s gonna cost him. Well we’ll see next week anyway.

Stupidity like that will cost him votes.

Donald, you want to let men in the bathroom with Ivanka, well that’s your choice, but not with my daughters!

In Trump’s world there is no right or wrong, no standing on principle, just business and money. And anything that impacts that has to be bad.

And still we’re being told that Trump is a “true conservative”

Sigh... Just when you think we’re on a clear path, he says something stupid like this. This guy has no principles. Leave it the way it is because of the economics? Really?

Ted Cruz smartly weighed in

We shouldn’t be facilitating putting little girls alone in a bathroom w/ grown men. That’s just a bad, bad, bad idea

I am a Trump supporter but I just called his campaign manager in Ma. and said I don’t think I can now vote for him. What a disappointment Trump is on this issue!

Would Trump let an obvious man in the bathroom alone with a granddaughter? What kind of freakshow has this country become?!?

Abraham couldn’t find any righteous men to save Sodom. I think we have reached the same point.

What Trump is saying here makes sense to me. There was no need to write a NEW LAW. Just enforce the old one about indecency & exposure.

I remember when “conservatives” were against more unnecessary laws... /s

I’m going to take a moment to remind everyone of the recall election of Gov Gray Davis in CA...

There was a principled conservative ready to take the reins of government with a statewide base of support. His name was Tom McLintock. The GOPe said that he couldn’t win statewide and Dem Lt Gov Bustamante would win if Tom was the candidate. They recruited Arnold SchwarzenKennedy for his star power. The actual election returns had Bustamante come in third behind Arnold and Tom. The principled conservative would have won... but he was undermined by the bright, shiny thing danged by the GOPe. We know how that turned out.

Now we have Trump. Conservatives were excited about Cruz until Trump came along and said the things they wanted to hear. No one would listen to naysayers and they allowed the principled conservative to be slimed beyond reason for simply running a campaign to win according to the rules. Now that Trump seems inevitable, he is moving to the “middle” RINO position. Let’s see if there were be buyer’s remorse before it’s too late.

We’re about to have a presidential election where your choices are two New Yorkers. Like New York values? You’re going to get them one way or another.

It would be very easy for him to dismiss the issue as a matter for the states to deal with. He must feel very strongly about it.

Northeast Republicans. When will we ever learn. Trump is even weaker than your typical Northeast Republican. He has no core conservative beliefs. Walk it back? Yeah, they’ll try like they did on abortion, but we all know where he stands. Mr Ant-PC has shown how really PC he is.

Man are you off. We might not like this, but most either don’t care or have more important things to worry about.

**North Carolina law that requires transgender people to use bathrooms that correspond with the gender listed on their birth certificate. **

God’s law, too.

It’s not a good situation, but there’s no real answer to it except having a family bathroom like at most airports.

First of all, as a conservative male heterosexual, I’ve used women’s bathrooms in the past 70 years; for instance when the men’s room was out of order and I had to go bad enough...

Secondly, If a transgender male is indistinguishable from a female, it would be disruptive (maybe more so) for him to use the men’s room. It would be least disruptive to use the ladies room I would think.

Thirdly, When I traveled (without my spouse) with my kids when they were young (and that was 35 or 40 years ago). I never let either my son or my daughter go into a public bathroom alone. My daughter would have to use the men’s room or I would have to take her in the ladies room. So this is not a new issue that families have to deal with... It just requires common sense, not laws.

So in that respect, Trump is right. Leave things the way they were. It has always been an issue and has never been a problem. we don’t need new laws.
