I’m liking Trump less and less the more he opens his mouth. I think this statement is an inane attempt to pander. You see how he’s all over the board? One minute he acts conservative and the next he says a horrible thing like “I don’t mind transgender people using the same bathroom as women.” You want your wife or daughter in the same bathroom as an el wacko man claiming to be transgender?
It is one of the problems of speaking off the cuff, and hes definitely had a few bad off the cuff moments. I would count this as one of them.
I support Trump because we have to win on TPP and the immi issue. This is a depressing day for Trump supporters who are conservative. He is no doubt thinking strategically here to gather up a few discontented Democrats and bolster his appeal. This is sadly what it may take to win the general. He must however stand firm on sovereignty issues.
You have identified one of the major problems with Trump -- he doesn't have a core set of beliefs and surely is not a conservative. He is unpredictable and is just as likely to turn appoint socially liberal supreme court justices as Clinton. His entire shtick is an act.

A guy or gal who’s had a sex change should use the bathroom they’re comfortable with. I’m a man, I shouldn’t be using a woman’s bathroom, sorry. Bruce Jenner should use the man’s room.
They probably have been for years....they're in stalls, private stalls, who knows who is what....
Men's rooms, with urinals are different and a lot more happens with others watching than in a woman's room.
