Obama Boasts In Britain: I Saved The World Economy As President

President Barack Obama boasted of his legacy during a town hall in Britain, asserting that he single- handedly saved the world during his presidency.

“Saving the world economy from a Great Depression — that was pretty good,” Obama bragged when asked by a student in London what he wanted his legacy to be.

He recalled that when he visited London in 2009, the world economy was in a “freefall” because of irresponsible behavior of financial institutions around the world.

“For us to be able to mobilize the world’s community, to take rapid action, to stabilize the financial markets, and then in the United States to pass Wall Streets reforms that make it much less likely that a crisis like that can happen again, I’m proud of that,” he said.

Obama also touted his Iran nuclear deal as “something I’m very proud of” asserting that he successfully stopped their nuclear weapons program without going to war.

He griped that everybody forgot about his efforts in stopping the Ebola crisis, saving “hundreds of thousands of lives.”

“I think that I have been true to myself during this process,” Obama said, insisting that the things he said while running for office “matched up” with his presidency.

The ONLY think that kept Obama from being an absolute joke is $10 Trillion in US Government debt and Federal Reserve suppressing interest rates to zero.

It bought the USA, and hence this clown, some time - that’s all.

What this putz did was simply kick the can down the road, yet again. He didn't fix jack. What a pompous jackass.

Is this obama's way of hinting that he's ready for another Nobel Peace Prize & Participation Trophy?

I remember it a little differently. I remember Republicans trying like crazy to get the senseless mortgages to stop. Andy Cuomo and Barney Frank and the rest insisting they had to happen and continue. All in league to bankrupt us using PC as a weapon.

Politicians: Taking credit for things they didn’t do . . . and blaming others for things they did do.

This puke head is insufferable.

Bush was actually at the heart of the problem. Bush was a huge affirmative action liberal who pushed giving loans to Mexicans and blacks who didn't have the credit for it. Which is where about half the disaster came form. The other half was wall street blatantly selling these crap loans like they were AAA securities to investors which is fraud. It was done on such a massive scale and no one was punished for it.

The bad decision on the banks was made long before this happened. The right decision at the time was to rescue the banks. No way FDIC could have covered all the bank failures if the crash was allowed to continue. If the European banks failed, we were finished, as they would have started the domino movement. And it was not crony capitalism at that point, but many of the bailouts after Obama took office were, especially as most of us remember, the Solyndra-type bailouts, of which Solyndra was not the only one.

Some of the regulation following the crash was good but much of it a kind of revenge, taking advantage of leftist anti-capitalist sentiment.

Odamna only responsible for recovery of the gun industry.

Yes, President Barack Obama single-handedly saved the world during his presidency. And Al Gore invented the internet. This invention was a major factor in Obama's saving the world.

Obamaphones were also made possible by Al Gore's telephone taxes. Who needs congress?

BS - those banks should have been allowed to die. In a truly free market, you pay the consequences of your actions - banksters and borrowers.
