So I live in Wisconsin. The normal home around here is under $100,000. The family’s have all adults working. They fix their own cars, mow their own lawns, paint their own houses. Generally they are white. And their kids don’t go to college. When they do, its a two year trade school or a very inexpensive state school.

It doesn’t take college to farm, or become a tradesman, or machinist or do simple office work. That is what these people do. They are overwhelmingly Northern European. And its cold up here. These guys hunt, but crime is low. They fish, and their lawns are in great shape. In fact the towns are very clean. And they don’t think about diversity. If some ethnic people want a clean safe neighborhood with very low prices and beautiful land, come live in Wisconsin. But dress warm, work hard, live within the laws, and clean up after yourself.

I was impressed with some of the smaller towns I passed through a few years ago on my first trip to Oshkosh.

Then why do the people put up with the University of Wisconsin and it’s uber liberal bent?

I think of it as Germany’s extremes in one state, if you will...the crazy intellectuals ruminating about the death of God, alongside tradesmen and farmers who measure the height of their lawn with a micrometer and whose daily routine could be used to check a watch for accuracy.
