Minnesota man is claiming to be Prince's 'love child' from a fling with his mom in the '80s ...

The Heir Hunters International team is now working around the clock on the genealogy of the alleged 'love-child' to establish a firm connection with Prince.

Once the investigators are happy that the heir is genuine on paper they can demand a DNA test and submit a legal claim against Prince's estate.

John Hilbert, partner in Heir Hunters International based in Los Angeles, also told Daily Mail Online of a SECOND potential heir who has come forward with another seemingly 'legitimate' claim.

This individual claims to be offspring of Prince's father, John Nelson.

Mr Nelson, better known as jazz musician Prince Rogers, died on August 25, 2001, aged 85.

Any sibling - full or half - of Prince stands to inherit millions of dollars under Minnesota law - providing no child of the star is found - and all 'legitimate' claims will be thoroughly investigated.

Mr Hilbert said the firm's phones have been red hot since the 57-year-old superstar died at his Paisley Park home in Minneapolis a week ago.

Let me say I am absolutely shocked he had no will or trust given how protective he was of his music. If you are going to go to the trouble to change your name because of your music ..how is it that you can't be bothered to protect it upon death. This is especially true if he had AIDS and knew his time was almost up.

I hope there are children out there to keep the dead beat siblings from getting the money.

As for unknown offspring of a dead father - that is another uphill battle mired in legalities. Did the father ever claim the child as his own, etc.

‘We think that more likely than not these claims are genuine, but both need further investigation.”

So was Michael Jackson.

Prince’s estate will be massive as time goes by. He supposedly has some recorded music in the vault with some famous person - can’t remember who...as well as his own music.

He was a musical genius. He heard music when he was having conversations with people. That vault has to be filled with his outlet.

I kind of figured a bunch of these people would come out of the woodwork. Doubtful if any are legit, but who knows.

This whole thing will be so mired in controversy. For example,

“There was at least one other sibling identified as a stepbrother, Duane Nelson, who also has died, but Nelson did not list him as an interested party.”

So rumor is that they told this boy growing up that one of his parents made him a sibling of Prince. However, people in the family knew that it wasn’t true.

BUT depending on the law of that state and the circumstances....the dead non-brother could still be an heir and thus his children step into his place. It would depend on if dead parent held son out as his own, etc.

Agree on the lack of a will. Stupid.

Otherwise, my understanding is that it would be pretty tough to perform a DNA test on ashes.

If it turns out to be a child (lets say just one) then doesn’t that child inherit everything?

This might top the mess of James Brown.

You also have issues over rights to his music as in Estate Versus Records Labels. That will be interesting and complicated. I read where he had just signed a deal and got back his masters.

There are still issues that will be brought up in that regard.

When and do you lose your right to establish paternity in Minnesota?

Was there a length of time you were given after turning 18? Etc.
