Rodents,Mice,Chipmunks,Squirrels and Ground Hogs carry the bacteria and ticks and rodents are both at the same level,ground level.
Deer transport the ticks across the country side.
I broadcast DCON in all my fieldstone areas.

The ONLY place I Never got a tick was in the desert west. No chiggers either.
