It is mandatory to feature that quote from LBJ whenever discussing Democrat welfare state policies and blacks.
Statists destroyed the black family and ensured dependence on government in 12% of the population. The resulting 96% vote loyalty delighted them no end.
They now have their sights set on the majority, which is what the immigrant flood, suppression of religion, gay rights, gay adoption, trans rights and ludicrous bathroom wars are really all about. Destroying the white family will be trickier but don’t think they don’t have a similar target in mind.
Unfortunately, do-gooderism is as addictive as alcohol or gambling which is why you see friends and colleagues you thought were sensible suddenly endorsing kindergarteners being taught ‘gender fluidity’ etc. These shallow idiots seeking approbation will be the unwitting instruments of more government control...such control has and will extend literally to control of thought.

Why did the Democrat party mean so much to LBJ: he won 44 states with barely lifting a finger; didn’t even have to debate. He wanted to out-do FDR!
Free things are an enticement for nearly all of the declining USA now. I’m surprised free cremations have not yet been put on the national agenda.
At least they can see it today for themselves; they accepted a role as wards of the state, and now every immigrant group marginalizes them further. I see whole restaurants, departments, etc. that had many black employees fifteen years ago now staffed exclusively by Hispanics. Once education took a back seat to freebies, blacks lost any competitive advantage over newcomers - particularly in language. If a black and Hispanic apply for the same job, and neither speaks much (real) English, employers are heavily deciding in favor of the Hispanic.
These are the latter day "useful idiots" of the Lenin lexicon. They never ever learn!
Democrats created the slums, the hood, and voted against civil rights yet blacks keep on voting for them for the freebies. Doesn’t make sense at all. Proves that Sharpton and Jackson are morons.
Sadly, they’ve become urban livestock used for the benefit of wealthy non-blacks. Their deal with the Devil involves accepting a life of leisure (like the Eloi in “The Time Machine”) in return for the sacrifice of their young (which are required as payment to provide income for an army of teachers, social workers, cops, and politicians).
That quote should be one of the cornerstones of The Donald’s campaign. I’m not kidding.

I worked for the Balt Dept of Public Welfare in this precise time frame as a case worker with Families. My resignation letter stated, in part, “the DPW creates and sustains far more dependency than it ends.” It was manifestly clear from the start that the War on Poverty was in fact a war on the independence of the black culture. It deliberately kept the n***r on the plantation and in Democratic hands.
The “Black” community in the inner cities of this country are so utterly devastated that the miserly pittance received from government coffers is the only resource available. The chains of misery and poverty among ghetto blacks today are greater than at any time during slavery.
The Democrat establishment has succeeded in keeping its slaves caged on the plantation. Indeed, the animals in Metro zoos live better than the children in our inner cities.
