>Until and unless America changes its welfare laws, the welfare society will not change.
Ha. That ship has sailed ~100+yrs. ago, FRiend. The Constitution, long dead.
Not only did the Fed govt ALLOW economic slavery by the States, they themselves do the same. They have failed their BASIC tenants of being in EVERY way (protect/defend our borders, Rights, Liberty, Freedom, equality under/or the Law, etc.).
LBJ did say that, IIRC.
Sound summation of the deleterious effects of the demonic victim-entitlement mentality, by which liberals obtain power by presenting themselves as saviors of those who they constantly appeal to as being oppressed. Oppressed by a system in which benefits are obtained by meriting them by honest labor and investment (even if requiring a generation or so to rise above their inherited situation and overcome obstacles), and indolence, cheating and illicit gain is punished. And in which mercy and grace are just that, not rights to be demanded, and is that of private benevolence, working toward the betterment of the recipients to be producers.
Instead, the liberals (who believe they themselves are worthy to be in power) tell the people this income disparity is unfair, that others should not have greater benefits gained under this system of merit and mercy, and that possessing such by taking (in various ways) it from such as are financially independent is what is right, and promise them that once in power then they gain them what is rightfully theirs. Thus there is no feeling of indebtedness by the “victims” to those who provided for their benefits, but the indebtedness is directed toward the liberal “saviors” who obtained the power they lusted for.
But these are not some philanthropists, as they themselves do not give sacrificially or “share their wealth” much if at all, and instead the end result of their wealth redistribution is that they alone are the ones with all the benefits they promised, with the rest all looking to them for their daily bread.
And who are punished for not doing so, and for not going along with the immoral ideology which is also part of the alternative society of the devil. Who was the originator of the “Occupy (the throne of God) movement,” and the “Share the wealth” appeal, (Is. 14:14; Gn. 3) and now works through his proxy servants to gain some of the power he lusts for. Which is a precursor of that which is to come. (Rv. 13)
Well; the die was cast by observing how Manifest Destiny destroyed Native America!
Ulysses Everett McGill: Well, ain't it a small world, spiritually speaking. Pete and Delmar just been baptized and saved. I guess I'm the only one that remains unaffiliated.
Ulysses Everett McGill: What'd the devil give you for your soul, Tommy?
Tommy Johnson: Well, he taught me to play this here guitar real good.
Delmar O'Donnell: Oh son, for that you sold your everlasting soul?
Tommy Johnson: Well, I wasn't usin' it.

Every bird counts.
In my church; we were declining in membership.
The youth were moving away after growing up; the neighbor racial ratio changing. We heard of a black congregation that was meeting in a strip store, but wanting their own building.
Discussion were made, and agreements arrived at.
So now we have a black congregation attending; as well as a Hispanic one; too.
Things are working out ok; as we meet at different times and buildings.
We lost a few folks who felt uncomfortable, but strangely; the black church lost a few folks as well.
One of the reasons: “It feels like Mayberry there.”
I had to laugh, but soon realized what was being said.
We’re all apprehensive of those who are different from ourselves.
As Martha says, “It’s a good thing.”
Bernie hasn’t said “build the wall,” but early on in his campaign he said that the influx of legal and illegal immigrants has decimated the job market for blacks.
Interesting. I was positing that maybe there are more churches than we realize that are preaching things they shouldn’t be. Like Jeremiah Wright or worse.
He's wrong; of course.
Our own countries policies have done the job.My dad had TWO jobs at times when I was growing up.
No 'welfare'.
Get up off yer ass and WORK!
I remember the time when they had intact families and that was the norm.
So funny! That’s one of my favorite scenes from that movie.
I just LOVE that movie!
It has everything in it!
