WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump outlined economic policy initiatives on Thursday that he would pursue if elected to the White House in November, including refinancing longer-term U.S. debt, lowering taxes and scrapping a slew of federal regulations.

The Manhattan real estate mogul said his aim would be to clear the way for U.S. businesses to succeed.

"We're lowering taxes very substantially and we're going to be getting rid of a tremendous amount of regulations," Trump said in a wide-ranging interview with CNBC.

"The business people they talk about regulation more than they talk about taxes," he said.

Get rid of EPA. We lived without it for 200 years.

We did live without it for 200 years.
And I can remember when there wasn’t a lake fit to swim in either. They just need to be reeled in with some checks and balances.

This isn’t in defense of the EPA but I do remember the days when businesses polluted land and water at will. It had to be stopped.

I’m sure Trump can figure out a way for us to keep the pollutants out of our lives without using an out of control left wing EPA.

If there is anyone that understand how thousands of silly regulation have nearly destroyed thousands of business it is Trump. He has been in business as well as his offspring for many years and is a billionaire. He will gut this anti business crap but with sound reason.

Trump for President.

That’s what he said.

I think people are going to be amazed at what he achieves in his first 100 days.

What regulation is Trump doing away with that will pollute lakes? You made a stupid remark without any foundation. That is ignorance.

Hope Mark Levin is listening. He completely backtracked and dipped his toe in the #NeverTrump cesspool on his radio show yesterday. Mark Levin flat out LIED. He said he would support Trump if the nominee..PERIOD. He now put conditions on it, which translates to you may by non action be supporting Hillary...MARK YOU BIG DUMMY.

I advise Freepers don't buy his Online TV show. Show the LIAR you despise his dishonesty. Tell him how you feel on his Facebook page.

Mark please stop with the Reagan, Ted Cruz is no Reagan. This isn't 1976 and there is no 1980 coming.

My comment wasn’t about Trump. It was in response to a post about the EPA. Read the thread before you project your stupidity and ignorance on someone else.

If the business community starts to help us secure the border I will support this but not until. If they continue their cheap labor BS then to hell with giving them anything. Also the less they pay in taxes just gives them a reason to spend more in taxes because someone else will be paying for it. Don’t forget big government is big business. If they are going to help spend the country into oblivion then they should not have tax cuts.
